There's only one credible leak, and it doesn't mention "an advanced, ancient alien species that looks antagonistic."
There is enough evidence to support the credibility of the earlier leak on early descriptions of new aliens. One, likely describing the Khet, is extremely similar in description to the silhouettes of the aliens in the Andromeda trailer. Han Shot First was the first one that I saw to point that out. And he's right. The other description fits the appearance of a golem-like creature seen on the computer screen (from an angle) of a twitter dev leak from last year. It's suspicious. Not as slam dunk as the big reddit leak, obviously, but its enough to at least start to support some credibility of it.

And eezo is created in supernovae. There's no reason it would be eezo poor. The "mass effect" will definitely feature as a major technological deal in Andromeda, as it did in the MW. Having Andromedan species use some other technology would literally disregard the game's namesake. It's called Mass Effect for a reason.
It would be cool to see some variations in how eezo is used and implemented in Andromeda assuming the reapers haven't influenced that galaxy. Be great to have the expeditions forces come up against som surprises in that regard.
Well, then there is my theory. The Reapers have been harvesting more than just the Milky Way, so the various aliens we encounter will like us be following the breadcrumbs they leave behind and thus will have similar tech, both in operation and level of sophistication, and utilize the Mass Effect in a similar way we do outside of technology, like biotics.
I liked the concept of the reapers, so I wouldn't mind seeing somethiing like this.
For my part, I too would like to see some really alien, aliens. I know we had the Hanar, Elcor etc in ME but I'd like to see something, truly alien. I mean, how far would we have to go to find something that we have trouble defining. It wouldn't have to feature prominently. Just something to marvel at.

I hope that is how things turn out.
Giving the Reapers a backstory where they were active in potentially the entire Local Group, would conveniently explain why the Milky Way colonists don't run into a Class III civilization in Andromeda, as well as providing an Andromedan mass effect relay network.
How do you know, about not encountering a type III? I guess otherwise the Milky Wayans will be totally obliterated. Also it would explain what the Reapers do when they are supposedly hibernating in darkspace. I however hope that they come up with something different, otherwise it's just a reboot of the franchise basically. Same story, but different location.

How would it be the same story if the Reapers are still dealt with? The only Reaper-related things that would be in Andromeda in the scenario would be the Mass Relay Array.

I did not think of that. I still do not think that there will be relays, since we are only exploring the Helios Cluster.

This game. When interviewed Mac Walters expressed a desire to explore more and more of Andromeda with each game. To give that feeling of spreading out I guess. That means eventually Mass Relays or something that functionally does the same thing will be needed.
Maybe late in the game they can do a reveal of us finding a dormant Mass Relay. If the reason we left was to run from the Reapers that could lead to a good scene storywise, like the leaders expressing negative emotions or something since they know the connection. For old players, it gives the Reapers some of their dark tone we know, and for new players it can give them that dark tone so they can better relate to the characters' motivations. Or maybe at the end of the game we find Andromeda's Citadel, and future games have us using it to help map out the Array so we know where are good places to colonize, similar to what we did in the Milky Way. And like in the Milky Way, that could lead to conflict. Just to spitball a couple possibilities.

Commander Shepard and the warden. They moved to Andromeda to escape the limelight.
Limelight finds them anyway.

This time with buttocks, big ones.
-I don't want to give me what i want, i want them to surprise me like they did with the past trilogy...but
-More insect like (Rachni, kirik) info on their culture, history, customs
-Some thing like Caleston (not carbon-based and photosynthetic but silicon-based and thermosynthetic)
-Life in a gas giant
-Aquatic sapien life
-Races that have not reached space travel
-Thorian-ish species

What types of species exist in Andromeda? What kind of tech might they have? Are they similar to the MW species or not? What about biotics?

I don't see any particular reason to think that Andromedan species would be any more or less distinct from Milky Way species than Milky Way species are from each other.

I kind of wish the aliens in Andromeda didn't have mass effect technology.
Way more interesting. Like when Star Trek crew visits worlds that haven't developed space travel, or 1960s earth. Or the whole idea about advanced European warships encountering natives.
I want this.

There's this comic (I think it's by French artists) called Wake (Sillage in French) where the main character sometimes has to go undercover on pre-spacefaring planets. As such she has to wear some weird disguise to blend in.
Here she is on a industrialised planet that is going through a sort of people's revolution. The people there are actually hybrids between a human and the local alien population. Basically the human crashed there, created his hybrids and is directing the civilization he created.

I do not expect that from this game, but it would be nice to visit (or maybe choose to not interfere) pre-spacefaring civilizations and have some weird stuff like genetically modified people, or someone playing God with a civilization.

I'm thinking that some of the Dromedan/Andromedan aliens we encounter may be bipeds, but perhaps some are 4 legged. And if this Remnant is comparable to the Ancients from the Stargate franchise, who left their tech all over the galaxy after dying out.
The Andromeda Galaxy is full of new frontiers, a place where Star Trek has never visited before. And what kind of antagonist(s) should BW create that are as menacing but different than the Reapers? I think the enemy should be slumbering somewhere in the Andromeda galaxy, not the space between galaxies.
Seriously, if the Milky Way expedition hopes to get back home, they should construct a Citadel like station that is a giant mass relay between both galaxies
