Rather long winded survey.

You filled it out though, didn't you? :P

Just a friendly FYI, rogue is spelled rogue, not rouge.

This x1000! It's one of my pet peeves, possibly because it's so common. I apologize in advance in case I ever slip up and do it myself.

Anyway, I came in here expecting something like "Hey, do you guys like the elven lore or dwarven lore better?" Not this...

Edit: Come to think of it, it makes me even more annoyed because I speak french, and it really irks me when people go around talking about the red class <_<

I sorta wonder if this might be some stealth marketing survey, considering this is the OP's one and only post.

Super stealthy with a super low sample size  :P  Could it be someone doing a survey for a course or something? That would also explain the one post.

That crossed my kind as well but no matter. It didn't ask for any personal information. I filled it out completely. As far as surveys go, it's actually not that bad.

One problem I have is, the BFF questions. For Inquisition, it says "did not romance anyone" whereas for the other two games it has "did not have a BFF". That confused me, so I just selected my Canon romance choice for all three games.

Well, there's your romance and there's your BFF. In Origins, I romanced Leliana, but Alistair was my brother from an elven mother.

Yeah, but that Inquition one still asked for BFF, but the bottom answer (the I did not/do not answer) mentioned romance.

Thanks for filling it out guys! This is for my own personal curiosity and I usually participate only in the reddit community.

I wanted to compare preferences of fantasy races for role playing with other factors and experiences. This is what I do for fun. My next survey will be shorter and more focused! Thanks for the feedback.

I have a lot of fiddling with exel to do... so far the adjective section is the most interesting...

Once I got to "Preferences, Perceptions, and Personality" I backed out.

I only put down Iron Bull there.

But I don't hate him as a person. I know and grew up with a few IB's. lol. They can be alright. I just think it's stupid for the Inquisition theme they were going for. And especially bad as an intro to Qunari for anyone new.

I didn't put down anyone. There are characters I don't care for, certainly, but I'm never so invested that I actively dislike or hate anyone. If I don't want anything to do with them, I just leave them at base. If I really don't care for them at all, I don't recruit them. I have only not recruited one follower over all three games: Iron Bull. Even then, I had to come up with a personally plausible RP reason for doing so before my brain would allow it.

Yeah... was sad about this. I left that blank.

You shouldn't. They're all racist.

Yeah, I put "Cousland" and "Trevelyan" PCs under the "Characters we dislike" section.  Should have put Hawke there too, but I dislike the entire DA2 game, so "Hawke" wouldn't have been enough.

I'm sorry, but I don't think there's any DLC called "Awakenings" or "The Golems of Angarrak".

(I really hate it when people call DA:A "Awakenings".)

Indeed so. "Rouge" is a make-up substance :P

Dang, I should have thought of that.  :o

I just put down Sera and Vivienne.

Could have used a few more "None" or "Neither" options in there.

Yup. Especially for the mages and templars question (I side-eye anyone who thinks you MUST hate one side and love the other) and for the romantic-partner traits one (aromantic asexual here).

I don't understand, why you ask about table top, but not pen & paper or LARP. Or why you ask about Tolkien, but not other influences for the fantasy setting of DA (Lovecraft comes to mind - the whole Fade screams Dreamlands, various history events, many dark fantasy and horror novels ... besides Lovecraft and many more - heck, DAI had even a great Doctor Who tribute with the inquisitor and Dorian travelling through time and Dorians rather doctorish explanations)
