Reliance on head-canon.
A dumb protagonist.
Cheesy one liners (unless the goal for said scene is to go for that effect).
Abundance of very clear fetch based quests.
Massively open, empty areas to explore (not sure if I would mind or not in Mass Effect but I'd rather not find out).
An unrefined villain.
A villain that wants to conquer the world.
A villain that gets stunned at every opportunity (I don't want to play Scooby Doo).
A villain that is unrelatable.
Underutilised alien species.
All aliens know English (or, everything they say can be translated to English).
DLC that gives the true ending.
Collections that don't actually do anything.
No ultimatums (there was the Kaidan or Ashley one in Mass Effect 1, but after that they didn't show up again - although you could maybe count Samara or Morinth also).

Combat from ME3, weapon and character progression was also great in 3. Conversation with companions from 1, I hated in 3 that you couldn't just talk to companions anytime, even if it was just about their generic 'Hey Wrex, what is a Krogan?' info. Non-linearity of 1. Heat system of ME1, I love how different ME1's system was, and was dissappointed when ME2 dropped it for standard shooter mechanics.

Sniper Rifles that only deal two bars of shield damage.
The Avenger.
Nerfing.
Geth Hoppers.
Plot Armour.

Pink Krogan armour.
Multiple, multiple accent, Quarian conversations.
Fetch quests that you lose if you don't ignore them.
SP endings requiring hours and hours logged in to MP via an EMS system that rapidly deteriorates in real time.
Romance options that lead you absolutely nowhere at all. Joker/Chambers/Samara
Dry humping.
Inviting people up to your cabin to sit in your lap.
Romance options that require you to commit twice for extra emphasis.
*DEEP BREATH*
IGN cameos and totally neutral reviews.
Killing off or marrying off almost every possible male romance option for Female players.
Bottles of whiskey = gay.
Racism.
Daddy issues.
James Vega.
Cortez.
That one Vorcha hiding behind a corner with a flame thrower.
Thieving Pyjack missions that require you not to shoot the Pyjacks.
Retconning councils.
Retconning enemies.
Casey Hudson.
I'm going to stop here but I have more.

Black Emporium Mirror type of thing.
Seriously Bioware. Just ship it with release. It's a nice way to fix up your craptastic lighting in your CC

I just wish they'd let you take a character through a short, stock conversation - that runs the full gamut of lighting conditions - before you leave the CC, to make sure they don't look like shiny butt in the actual game.

Something resembling lore consistency.
Something resembling sci in the fi.
Something resembling dialogue/action choice the actually leads to different roles and storylines.

The same level of classes would be good and also a little bit of variety in background I know we are military but to do we have a particular field of expertise within that such as Mordin and Kahlee both being scientists who happen to be working in the military Dr Chakwas being a medical officer that sort of thing. Just a few background style options to pick from so we can RP different types of characters to an extent.

ME2: Sound track, level and loading screen designs, hub worlds like omega, illium and Tuchanka, a few "suicide missions", recruiting and loyalty like side quests, the hammerhead, shadow broker quality DLCs, Normandy design and crew, Illusive man/aria quality bad guys.
ME3: multiplayer, combat system, Leviathan/citadel DLC like missions, genophage/gets vs quarian like choices, weapon variety.
Wish list: In dept squad mate conversation choice and consequences (no guaranteed romance option), multiple completely different endings, PLAYABLE COUNCIL RACES, stay away from open worlds, sand box environment, MMO, micro transactions, jet packs, a western feel and the mako at all cost, INVEST IN QUALITY STORY WRITTING AND SOUND TRACK!!! No douchbag, half naked, high heels, heavy makeup or latex tight squad mates (keep this for casual, romance and off duty sceens)

I liked unlocking minigames in ME1 and 2.
Captain's quarters in ME2 was really well done imo and the music in ME2 jukebox was better. ME music in general is great, mostly ME1 and 2, third was somewhat unremarkable in this aspect.
Charging Krogans in ME1 seemed really intimidating and dangerous as they were really strong in close/melee range. Jumping Geth snipers were really unusual enemies because of their moving patterns, I really liked those.
Dialogues inside vehicles in ME2 and 3, including those in the pilot's area of Normandy during some intense flight manuevers or during approaches of planets and space stations.
As other people mentioned, i'd like to have dialogues in the lines of ME1/2. Less yes/no or paragon/renegade decision style with no middle ground, more further additional options inbetween. Also i liked getting good amount of background information on topics before having to make a decision, where ME1/2 seemed again to be better than ME3.
I liked biotics in ME1 being about mostly control rather than permanent biotic nukes turning the game almost completely into a farce in ME3. Biotic explosions should stay, but need to be rarer and more meaningful/tactical IMO and a bit more visually impactful in return.
I liked the general athmosphere on Normandy SR2. A ship where people lived and worked - and also fought from. Everything seemed a bit more harmonic in design than with the other two iterations.
Suicide run mission from the end of ME2 was pretty intense, great music, good gameplay, a proper feel of urgency without being too unfair gameplay-wise, i'd say. Probably the best mission in the entire series.
The feel of mystery in ME1, i really liked it.
Asari biotics shooting back with biotics in ME1, that was pretty nice from gameplay fairness standpoint. It would generally be better for the gameplay balance if enemies were given about the same tools as the player to work with.
The big killer robots from ME2. A bit too slow, but pretty intimidating with their machine gun, always good for some "aww, sh*t" moment, when they suddenly appeared around a corner. Other robots were quite okay, too, good for enemy variety.
The ambush on the way to the Flux(? i forgot the name) in ME1, completely unexpected and IMO has immensely enriched the experience being on an alien space station in its somewhat less lawful corner.

- All the advanced enough MW races we got to meet, (I don't care for Raloy, and Yahgs aren't advanced enough to justify the need for them to come along)
- Pyjak, varren and space hamsters
- Funny alternate dialogues from NPCs when you take too much time rescuing them (rescuing Liara late in the game)
- overall tone of the series, with a good balance between serious and goofy, brutal and tender scenes
- Biotic Charge + nova cancelling
- Claymore
- NPC character progression (Ashley is the best exemple, you could go along and even reinforce her latent racism, or show her the other alien species aren't so bad and that there are benefits in cooperating with them)
- difficult choices (Ashley/Kaidan)(saving the Destiny Ascension or not). I'd avoid choices leading to the extinction of any species. I' afraid BW would write themselves in a new dead-end then. Although the blossoms of countless threads about heartless genocidal players here in BSN might be worth it.
- Interrupts
- toxic environments
- space pirates/strippers (of any gender and species this time around though)
