I was replaying Origins again and at the end Shale says she plans to travel to Tevinter with Wynne in order to seek answers as to how to turn herself back into a dwarf. She pops up in Asunder in Orlais, but her quest doesn't end there, so I'd assume she'd continue on her way to Tevinter. Since speculation has always been that we'd see Tevinter be the focus of the next game in the series, I think it would be interesting to revisit Shale. She'd make an interesting companion, or simply story character, be it as a golem or a dwarf.

I'd love to see Shale again. She's one of my all time favourites and I love her dialogue.
However her fate isn't set in stone at the end of Origins, going to Tevinter is just one of the options available for her at the end of the game. She can also die, so I doubt she'd have a significant role, but hey, I'll take a cameo.

Shale might get retconned. A lot of things can be explained with lyrium, as when both Leliana and Shale can die, they are near a lot of lyrium. The lyrium copied Leliana, so it might repair a damaged golem just as easily.
Since the events of Asunder are considered canon, and Shale is present in that novel and alive and well in the end, there is every possibility that she'll appear in Tevinter.

She's my favorite DAO character, so I'd definitely like to see her again. I think I'd prefer if she cured herself.. that's a helluva interesting story, if it can happen. As much as I like the Golem, that story has been told.

I'd love to see dwarven Shale, but holy hell, reversing the procedure would be a big old dose of 'space magic' or 'a wizard did it'. ![]()

I can't even imagine how they'd do it.. so that's why I'd like to hear it. Sometimes this setting can be really surprising.
