I don't know about the PC ports but on the consoles the field of vision for Mass Effect was terrible and it would be great if we could customize how close/how far the camera is to our character.

This one approves.

The Shepard already said in the past that we need to fight for our rights and the things we believe because he will not be here forever to fight for us, but he will always be with us in spirit and the spirit says that...

He should go.

As much as I would like it I think with consoles a feature like this would always been limited by console hardware resources. Now there is a better chance then before with the current generation, but with how limited the video cards are with these new consoles I am still not very confident that it will be something that is explored.

I would love it if they would, but I have the expectation that they won't.   You could tweak ME3 to have a large FOV, but it ended up showing that the devs didn't allow for it.

For example: in the prologue when Shepard approaches the war council, having a larger FOV would show that they war council was sitting with NO chairs.    You would think devs would modernize their thinking of FOV a bit.    Not everyone plays on the same size display and sits the same distance from the TV/Monitor.   A FOV slider only makes sense.

I think it's a very good idea, it will make gameplay much more comfortable for many people.

But who am I kidding, I don't remember the last time an EA or Bioware game had that, at best you could try and change game files at your own risk.

Seems like some developers really hate the idea of giving people the ability to control FoV. (probably something to do with their artistic vision and such crap)

A detachable camera is a better option. Failing that, a ZOOM Out feature is acceptable.

Good idea but unlikely to happen.

OT:  I find that confederate flag avatar offensive.
