Doing a lot of topics lately. On my excuse, i just finished the game after 2 years of wait to actually get it so i really want to discuss it ![]()
So, the areas. I wish they had provided more Cullen/Samson-like instances in the game, where actually exploring an area and "saving" it from Corypheus' influence actually gives us an advantage, howevere slight, against him and his troops during the main plot, or, hell, even only during the plot of the area
The most disappointing moment, at least for me, was in the Western Approach. Here Lies The Abyss, Hawke is there, the wardens are there, tevinter is there and....... the area actually has nothing to do with the main quest and, perish the thought, it doesn't actually change anything if kill the dragon before doing the mission or, hell, if i get the Fort. Wouldn't have been awesome if, for example, by getting the Fort beforehand, or by getting the awesome staff of doom thatactuallydoesnothingwhatsoever, we could actually get an advantage over the bad tevinter dude?
I actually smiled when , in the Exalted Graves, the Dalish Elves actually took in account of how i had disrespected them and their traditions by sacking the ancient tombs. The whole thing felt even nicer when i realized that Cassandra's comment "We should let the dead rest" actually freaking meant something and wasn't just some mindless chatter to make me feel as if my actions could actually cause anything (and, seriously, apart from that instance, i never felt like they did)
It just feels, at least to me, like most of the areas are just filler content, and, in my opinion, you really can't do that if throughout the whole main plot everyone says, again and again, how The Inquisitor's actions are changing the world.
Don't get me wrong, i like the game, i jsut wish it was more story-focused and less...... MMO-ish?
