So I know we have very little information so far about ME:A but we do know that we will encounter atleast two civilisations in Andromeda, the (possibly) friendly Remnant and the (seemingly hostile) Khet.
I was wondering what the possibility might be that one or the other might be Prothean in origin?
I know that vigil pretty much implies that the Protheans were taken by surprise by the reapers and that their defeat was pretty swift, so the odds of having time enough to build their own ark like exodus ship are slim to none, but there is the possibility, no matter how remote, that such an expedition was sent prior to the reapers attack.
Would you like to see the protheans feature prominently in Andromeda, maybe a small appearence as a nod to the original trilogy? Or is it time for the protheans to be left behind and forgotten as the failed civilisation that we came to love/loathe in the old series.
I think there is alot of room for some fun to be had by the writers in this respect, I personally wouldn't object to their reappearence. The name remnant certainly implies a former greatness now lost. It might also be grand to have the remnant serve as a cautionary tale of what might happen to an invading intergalactic force, particularly if Javik is an accurate portrayal of protheans (authoritarian dominators) Would make for an interesting formula maybe.
I'd also be fine if we never see them again. But what do others think?
