Lost 'romantic' dialog hub for Sera

I've been romancing Sera. I've completed almost all of the requirements for romance including: refuse alliance with Abelas, allow Morrigan to drink from the Well of Sorrows, and agree that the events at the Temple of Mythal are nonsense. After escaping the Temple, I went to see Sera and a cutscene took place where Sera was excited that things ended well and where the last thing she said was that '......we should go slap hands at the Tavern'.

The cutscene finished and I was outside her door. When I went back in to talk to her, the 'special' romance dialog options weren't showing. The only option I had, romantically, was for 'quality' time, like on the roof. The only quest for Sera that hasn't started is 'A Woman Who Wants for Nothing'.

Does this start later in the game? Were we supposed to go to the Tavern (she wasn't there when I went there)? Is this a bug? Sort of confused that after all the questing with Sera that I'd lose the romance dialog options.

Any ideas what happened here?

Thanks.

The romance starts earlier in the game, at this point I don't think you can trigger it.

And refusing the alliance with Abelas is not a requirement.

To romance you have to consistently flirt and build the relationship, which has triggers of progression after the quests with fleeing Haven, the Orlesian Ball and Adamant fortress.

Well, fooey. Thought I'd done everything I could since she joined the Inquisition. Have to try someone else.

Thanks.

You're playing a female , right?

Otherwise I vaguely remember reading about some glitch with Sera , but I would advise you to go into the Sera thread in character/story stuff , people there should be able to help you.

It's not a glitch. Sera was designed to have romances only with female PCs. Just like Dorian is male only.
