Well, just a change, can´t use the some over and over. And even if I miss, who cares then do a few auto attacks and try again ![]()

Yeah, I took the duelist into NM the other day as well.. I think around level 16, but with a good group. She is actually alot of fun, and doesn't play much different than perilous to me. I will have to try Ambush next time... it is still so hard to give up those two elusives you get from a (rare) successful flank attack.

It is a shame that cunning doesn't do anything for you past 200; as my promotes have gotten higher ( around 125 in all three now ) the rogues get to be more and more fun.
- Silent Sister is.. well... a warrior among rogues
- Duelist is a lot of fun with a high cunning for infinite bolt
- Assassin is a lot of fun with enough promotes to become sturdy - while she plays different than a silent sister, she can be just as deadly and is beginning to feel like a silent sister junior.. with stealth.
- Archer is crazy at spamming abilities, especially once he becomes sturdy enough to survive a few hits
I have been particularly enjoying assassin as of late, having not played her since I had almost no promotes.

It is very hard for me to play the assassin. SS, Archer, and Duelist all got Looked like it Hurt and a cooldown reduction (FoB, OK, KK) so I could pretty much spam skills. For the assassin I feel like ... kill, go shopping... kill.. go shopping....
Although she is fun killing room bosses... stealth, go behind, hidden blade one shot treasure room boss with bosun+hakkon. She could also one shot NM pride demon so they don't have a chance to put guard on.

In perilous now, I am constantly killing. Rather than go shopping, take a look at those two knives in your hand and use them! ![]()
I auto-attack with the assassin all the time now in perilous, and build up guard with the savage thorn rather quickly. And stamina comes in plenty, from kills and critical hits. Flank attack only has an eight second cooldown, which I fill with a flurry of blades in the back, or side, of anything left standing. And, if you like stealth, you get that with basically no cooldown as well. I like to mix in hidden blades and evade (which has a very short cooldown as well) for positioning.
In NM, that might be a different story, of course, and if you don't have many promotes the attack/shopping cycle is more true. But when I ran her in NM, she may not always kill with one strike, but after a flank attack, there would only be a couple swings of the knife to finish them off.
Yeah, as for room bosses, single enemy damage is one of the highest with the assassin.

It is NM that is slow. Flank attack one shot everything in perilous but can't one shot anything on NM.. well maybe the wraith. So it would be kill something with twin fang or hidden blade, use flank attack on another thing to go back into stealth. And use stealth as backup plan. It is pretty much like kill, wait 6-8 sec.. kill wait 6-8 sec.... once in a while I could yolo in the open, but will regret it when out of nowhere go hit by something and HP drop to red.

Twin Fangs/basic attacks -> Deathblow is the way to go in NM. Which kinda sucks, since it means going all the way into the left tree. By my 250th game I was playing her like a warrior/rogue hybrid with Hidden Blades for guaranteed kills and Stealth as a dodge/panic button.
Kills the fun when everyone's suddenly dead because you stealthed, though.

I have played her a few times but it feels "odd" to me to be playing Isabela. (or any main canon character). I don't know how to explain it.
In my "head canon" she is like a real living breathing person so it's just weird. She should just play herself IMO.
Yeah, yeah I'm strange.
I agree, it's because Bioware seems to want to have the SP and MP related but there's been a convention set that has them apart physically. I suppose game AI has not progressed far enough to let you do a MP with a canon character that plays itself without, you know running through fire every chance it gets... ...
If do think it's odd they would only include Isabella from the SP, maybe because players love her off but don't see her at all in DAI SP. In my SP play through my Hawke left with her, didn't think either would be back. Why can't I play my Hawke in SP? They should be retired and on a beach somewhere with hats.

I use bolt the vast majority of the time, move in for a kill with Flashing Steel to get coins. I take Broadsides and use it as often as I can unless I am looking to replenish coins. I take Swashbuckle but don't use it unless I am against a boss type. For the most part one can control the battle field with Bolt, Dead men tell no tales and Black Mark.

Ambush, Swashbuckle, Flashing Steel, Bolt
Combo- Bolt, Ambush, Swashbuckle, Bolt, Flashing Steel, Swashbuckle, slight delay, rinse and repeat. After you blow your cooldowns, begin backing away while bolting. As soon as Ambush cools down, use it to get back in the melee.
I've busted the bubble of several leaderboarders lately when I outscored them. I've never given much attention to the scoreboard but it's fun to hear "You must have had the glitch, to beat me." Nope, just better than you.
The best off-hand dagger is definitely Audacity but I don't use it. With Bloody Bargain my survivability is much higher. Been running no barrier NM's lately with very little trouble.
If you have a reliable Saarebas, swap out Bloody Bargain for Audacity. The Duelist can get 10k+ out of the Audacity explosions.
Since you want to dump your elusive before it gets taken away, Bloody Bargain's attack speed makes your animations go faster, enabling you to unload that elusive more quickly.
Try to keep two of each BB and Audacity. Armor penetration isn't very good on threatening and perilous so you'll want 11% attack for those difficulties.
Short video example of what she can do with this setup. I only have 77 constitution so I chug a lot of pots. Finished this one with no deaths despite the level 5 assassin in the fade.

oh - sounds fun. I'll give this a go! I still have lots of work before cunning cap and I am not even 1/2 done with her 250 banner. She and Elementalist are top of my rotation right now.
