You like more than me. I'd leave Dorian, Hissrad, Rainier, Sera, Solas, Varric, and Vivienne. Of the companions only Cassandra and Cole are the ones I wouldn't leave. That's 7/9 I'd leave.

I know you don't like Varric, but why don't you like Dorian? Enough to let him die? What about the advisors?

Dorian seeing nothing wrong with slavery in one of our first conversations with him as well as his personality stopped me from ever developing a friendship with him. And if it was between the Hero of Ferelden/Warden Commander, Hawke(even though they aren't at all like my Hawke), or him, the choice is him.

The advisers I either love or at least tolerate enough to not sacrifice them. Plus they aren't in the Fade with you at that point so doesn't matter.

Yeah, that is a point out of his favour, but it's probable he'll come around now that he's started the Lucerni.

Well, yeah, but we can't leave the companions there either. Nor the HoF. This whole thread is hypothetical :P

Perhaps, but we have yet to see that and at the time he didn't. I'm just working with the data I would have available at the time.

If I had to pick an adviser, it'd be Cullen. He has done a lot of things that irk me, thogh unlike certain companions he owns up to it and tries to make things right with those he has wronged. Leliana was good enough that I wouldn't(plus HoF would be sad) and I'd sacrifice myself before sacrificing Josephine.

I could leave anyone behind at this point.... (Besides for Cass and Cole... Actually, we"re the exact same at this point...)

I'm with you two on that. Cass and Cole are really high up on my "companions I like" list.

Me too. Plus, he'd get some redemption :P I'd also easily leave The Iron Bull, Sera, and Vivienne. And Leliana if possible. I like Solas well enough, but I suppose leaving him there could solve some problems ^_^ Or maybe he'd screw things up even more from the fade.

I just realized I'd easily leave 4/9 companions and 1/3 advisors there. Wow. Hopefully I like more of them in DA4.

So this thread is basically an "i will sentence to die those who i don't like"
Great maturity indeed!

I wouldn't kill Cassandra because she's my romance and my Male Lavellan would never kill his lover... Cole is like his adopted son and he wouldn't want Cole to die such a needless death like that, so yeah...

I love Cassandra though - she's my number one on my likes list, while Cole is number two - Cullen is like number three, but even if, I wouldn't kill Cullen though... He's CULLEN, ya know...

If it means anything, Blackwall would offer to stay behind anyway. I imagine that wouldn't do moral superiority any favors though XD

Anyway, the way this decision is framed, anyone other than the Warden or Hawke probably wouldn't work that well.

Personally there's no one Id want to leave behind. Well, maybe Cole.

Hardly. We're talking about who we'd leave behind if forced, not saying we'd just kill them for lulz.

I didn't even kill Anders and I severely dislike that terrorist. No matter what bad thing a character has done, I'll always try to redeem because I'm too nice idk? (except Vaughn in Howe's dungeon? He dead.)

So even major characters that have or had serious flaws/commited crimes like Loghain, Anders, Blackwall, the Egg, Cullen etc I would have a hard time leaving in the Fade.

Except Stroud, which I chose to leave behind without even thinking. We should all take a moment to remember the true hero, Stroud, who had to die because there wasn't a third Warden option enough people even remembered.

To answer the original question of this topic before someone gets their feelings hurt because someone said they didn't like their favourite character:

I'd leave behind my two Wardens, even my Prince-consort Cousland because Purple Hawke.

Hm. I guess that's fair. You've gotta cut some slack to the players, though. After all, it's just a videogame.

But sadly, that's how some people also act IRL. In that case, your criticism is welcome.

DA is just a game so in the end it does not matter since these "sacrifices" are just a bunch of pixels.
However most people are dominated by their own bias to the point that they would gladly sacrifice even more than one life (of those whom they don't care about) for those whom they care and this just show the inner flawed nature of most persons.
You said that only some think like that? I think is the majority.
See in Fable3 how many players sacrificed 10 people to save their LI.

This is ironic coming from the person championing Solas' plan to kill everyone(whom he doesn't care about) to bring back his people.

I would purposely leave Blackwall behind - not forced, lol. Then Bull would be next on my kill list....

The whole paradox is more ironic if applied onto you since you was the one advocating to protect the world from Solas "nefarious" plan yet now treat people who you don't like as garbage who do not deserve to live just because you don't like them.
I think you would likely be surprised from the fact that our positions are reversed now and that in the case of Solas i focused my perception on the  fact that i simply see the need for the world to return in it's natural state in whom non elves can't survive(probably) which is completely different than advocating people death just because i find them annoying.

Glad that i'm not taking "orders" from these inquisitors because of those kind of situations their decisions are mostly based on matters of personal taste.
Leliana too annoying die,Sera annoying is sacrificable,Vivienne ecc...

Well the one thing that I find confusing about wanting to leave a huge number of party members in the fade is you can avoid recruiting some of them and in Sera's case you can kick her out lol

That means little, however. For one thing, you'll learn more about the companions after you've recruited them. Take Blackwall for instance. There's not really any reason not to recruit him, but what you learn about him later will almost certainly change your perspective. Mostly we're just saying we'd rather leave X than Y, whoever they are.

Except I never said I'd treat them like garbage. I said I don't like them. Doesn't mean I'd gleefully feed them to the big bad spider. I wouldn't sacrifice any of them unless I had no choice. The only companions I have killed in Dragon Age are Loghain(and then only sometimes since it depends on my character), Anders(because it will save more lives), and Hissrad(and that's because he turned traitor and attacks me). And it's not like I was happy with it, but I had no choice or the other choices were worse.

No, our positions aren't reversed. Not liking but not sacrificing unless forced to seven people is still a lot better than happily sacrificing billions willingly.

Except that they are not "billions" they are a few million of ignoramus humans and Qunari and a mistake born from a broken world..
If they want to live they must find another continent.
Solas is one of the greatest philanthropist and saints Thedas ever had.

Meh, even Blackwall's backstory isn't interesting enough to save him..

Agreed. It's actually the part that reveals he should be given a swift kick of justice right in the face.
