How much has your Warden changed in 10 years?

Cullen is a little more open minded about mages. Morrigan is an overall better person. And Leliana became a... bitter workaholic, I guess?
Regardless, I'm talking about off-screen change after the events of DAO and Awakening.

All returning characters from Origins have become different over the course of the years.
Cullen is a little more open minded about mages. Morrigan is an overall better person. And Leliana became a... bitter workaholic, I guess?
Regardless, I'm talking about off-screen change after the events of DAO and Awakening.
The Calling has taken its toll.

Hey, at least he's in good shape! Been working out?
It's those Darkspawn blood smoothies. They tone and burn fat even when you're asleep.

Some new scars. His hair is greying around the edges. He's a little less angry than in his youth and a little more world-weary, though he hides it well.

Determined, beautiful and steely as ever to hunt down a way to prolong her life with Alistair!

Probably not a lot. She was pretty young in DA:O, so I'd imagine she's more mature by now, still doesn't want to die, and most likely still Forever Alone.

Amell - She was a socially awkward nerd in DAO - In Awakening, she's greatly different now - not very socially awkward anymore, but she's still not the best socializer in the world. Hardened, tough, way more mature and is hard-working as a Warden Commander. In ten years? Maybe she's wary of what life inlets - but needs to save Alistair at any cost so she goes searching for a cure for the Blight in her bones.
Cousland - She's always been the stereotypical KISA type of person - but she was a little more of a daydreamer and was a bit native of what she thought of the Wardens in DAO - she had always thought of them of courageous brave heroes that saved people - but her perspective of them changed dramatically in Awakening, she doesn't really care for being a Warden at this point of time - and wants to cure herself of the taint, and live a semi-normal life with her lover and husband, King Alistair.
Cousland 2 - During his origins he was the nicest person alive - actually. He grew darker once his parents died though, and was drawn to Morrigan for emotional support in this - and as such, he's not the nicest or bravest person alive because he did some dang dark stuff during the Fifth Blight. In Awakening - he remained the exact same, but less caring of innocent people in general, because he burned Amarathine to the ground due to the Darkspawn within It's walls. 10 years later - he's kind of better now, kinder to people now, but he wants to live a regular life with Morrigan and his kid, so he has to cure himself of the taint, although it's very painful for him, because he has to leave Morrigan and Kieran behind and he wants to protect them, but they can't go with him, so....

In Trespasser it's 9:44, which means the Warden's been fighting darkspawn for 14 years. Mine was a Surana, and if we assume mages take the Harrowing when they're about 18-20 then the Warden's in his early to mid 30's. He's in a long term relationship with Morrigan, with whom he has a son (Kieran). He's fought things no one else has (the Harvester, the Mother, a varteral, an Archdemon, Flemeth, etc) and he's been places no one has ever heard of (the western lands, lost thaigs in the deep roads, etc). So what sort of person would that look like?
My best guess is that the Warden has the mindset and outlook of a career, frontline soldier. He's been actively fighting a war against a relentless enemy for his entire adult life. He's also an explorer, seeking out new and forgotten places and bringing the knowledge he finds there back to civilisation (it was implied in DA:O that it was the Warden that first discovered broodmothers for instance).
He's a mage living through a time of great upheaval for the Circle. He's an elf living through a time of grear unrest for the elves of Orlais. He's a Warden who's seen the southern order either be exiled from the south or cut ties with Weisshaupt. On a personal level he's married to a prominent member of the Olesian court and father to an elf blooded human boy; he probably has to keep both facts secret due to anti-elven and/or anti-mage prejudice. In many ways he's an outsider to civilised society.
Finally, he's a man who's doing his best to stave off the madness and death of the Calling. So he's a veteran soldier, discriminated against because of his background, trying to treat a serious medical condition and get back to the family he can only be with in secret.

I like my Mahariel to die, especially since there is no way to save Tamlen(would actually have liked her to not bother saving the world that rejects her boyfriend but whatever
).
There are Wardens who can not even exist in that 10 years. I haven't ever thought of one of my Wardens in DA2 or Inquisition either, they have become the Revan and Exile from the Star Wars games.

Default had to die in DAO this allowed me to have a new character in my hands (the Orlesian warden) because i like to change and most importantly my new female Orlesian warden was not forced by BioWare to search the cure for the calling because she has no time to waste and i hope to never hear from her or Default again.

Depends on whether he followed Morrigan, stood with The Wardens or stabbed her. Which, for my (human mage) Warden, are all viable options.
I imagine him suffering from real heavy PTSD after the events of Origins (having to kill Connor, Jowan, to spare him the tranquility, refusing Morrigan out of pride and, in the end, letting his king and friend die for him out of fear of, well, dying), which he dealt with by completely embracing his duty as a Grey Warden, kind of hoping that someone would be good enough to take him down.
Of course just when everything was getting better for him, and he was starting to deal with his problems instead of just repressing them, things went downhill and he had to watch one of his, the Constable (whom had previously take an arrow for him), die because, once again, he wasn't good enough. Actually left the party at entrance of the Nest cuz, for the 1st time in Awakening, i had him go all out (all kinds of shields, storm of the century and such)
So, if he went with Morrigan he would probably consider himself a traitor to the Wardens and unfit to have the title but, also, finding something worth living for, namely protecting his kid and, after he re-learned to love her, Morrigan. Basically he would actually try to put himself back together for their sake
If he stayed behind he would probably become, with time and a lot of help from Leliana, Zevran and his wardens, a more balanced version of what he was in Awakening. Still mainly a Grey Warden, but a Grey Wardens who can at least feign a smile for his friends' sake
If he stabbed Morrigan....... DA:O's Loghain. Less crazy, much more ruthless

He went on solo against the blight and lost all the companions aside from the dog and Leliana.
The final suicide was avoided because Loghain wanted to finish the job for redemptive purposes.
Ten years later his powers are increased since his LI is now a Divine who control the Inquisition and she is the only one who can save him from his apathy for life Leliana is salvation for my warden.

Eorlin Amell, 14 years after the Fifth Blight, is now 36 years old. There are no physical marks of the Blight yet, and the uncommon vitality bestowed by it gives him a stronger presence. Eorlin was always a bit of a loner, and how he has become more detached from the rest of humanity. He's seen too much, and, together with Morrigan, has come to know too much to connect to people with a more limited perspective. His magic has changed in character as he has changed - less flashy, more economical and significantly more subtle. He was always discerning of the motivations of people and an excellent mediator and negotiator, but he always hated doing it because it reminded him of the pettiness of most people's motivations. Now that there is no pressing duty, he's grown more terse in his interactions with others, excepting only family and friends. He's also more certain of himself, more aware of his strengths and his limits.
While the Inquisition fought Corypheus, he was far a way on an expedition to find a cure for the Calling, and looking for methods of magical life extension less unpleasant than Avernus', now that he knows it's possible at all. Had he been there, he might've contributed but he wouldn't have joined an organization that fought under a religious banner. His dislike of people's attachments to their gods has grown more pronounced over the years, but most of the time he keeps silent about it.
In spite of his detachment, he still helps people with their problems here and there if time's not pressing. He says: "If it's easy for me but hard for them, it would be petty to refuse." and "It's nice to see people happy". As a result, quite a number of bandits as well as a few possessed mages have fallen to his magic and his sword over the years, and most of them remained ignorant of who their nemesis was. A sword? He's an Arcane Warrior, and greatly resents what the Knight Enchanters have made of the tradition. He also still promotes mageborn freedom and the autonomy of mage training from the Chantry.
His relationship with Morrigan is, as she told the Inquisitor, rather less domestic than one might think. Most of the time, they're not together, but the knowledge that the world is more pleasant because the other one is in it is always with them. He's always had that curiosity in common with her that turned him into an explorer who's seen more of the world than most others, and as they continue to uncover the mysteries of the world, they will grow closer, but also more detached from others.

It *is* your character after all. Or was the decision to leave so out of character that you disowned him?

10 years of decomposition after sacrificing her life - although, 10 years of blight decomposition can't be much better, except she would be living through it. So, yep...think she dodged a bullet and went to meet her mak...or...elven maker...or whoever the **** is beyond the fade.
