Hey everybody!

So I just recently purchased the trilogy and all the DLC for PC and I'd like to mod them.

I'm not really looking for any gameplay mods (unless they're REALLY REALLY good), and I've already installed my preferred ending mod for ME3.

I know there's MEUITM for ME1. What other graphical mods should I get for it?

Are there any all-in-one mods for ME2 and ME3? (I seem to recall seeing something for ME2, though I don't remember where...)

Thanks!

There are the ALOT mods for ME2 and 3 which contain heaps of textures, compiled from heaps of authors all at once:

ALOT for ME2

and

ALOT for ME3

Oh, awesome! That's exactly what I'm looking for!

So MEUITM for ME1, and ALOT for ME2/ME3. Just those and SweetFX/ENB? Any other recommendations, or is that all I need?

Thanks!

I think that's all you need. creeperlava really covered the gamut with textures for ME2 and ME3 so it should be all you're after.

EDIT: The non-graphic mods are going to be so subjective. I think you'll be happiest with the ending mod of your choice and calling that good since, in general, you're not looking for story changing stuff. /EDIT

Sorry, EDIT2. These are just fun.

I haven't used the ALOT mods yet myself but as far as I know they are very comprehensive compilations, so I don't think you need to worry about anything beyond that unless of course you want extra armor and such.

On that note, I can recommend some form of MOAM. If you use just the armor version, it will not change gameplay but just give you a whole bunch of NPC outfits to wear as casual outfits on the Normandy and it also gives you much more freedom in how you want to use your armors (e.g. use full body armors like the Inferno armor with custom head gear and such).

There are also some content mods for ME3 that do minor changes without affecting gameplay, like the restored Ken/Gabby recruitment conversation and the restored Zaeed conversation mod.

You could also try ME3 recalibrated which mainly does small things to improve some minor glitches in conversations and such.

Oh yea, and I am surprised Deager didn't mention it but if you are using an ending mod where Shep will survive, you may want to consider CEM.

For ME2, there is the shorter loading screens mod, there is one that restores the Illium landing scene and if you want to play the Arrival DLC after the ending of the main game you could try the Arrival triggering mod.

Just be aware that it is best to install ME2/3 content mods before doing the tree scan for the textures. Always read mod descriptions and readmes to check out possible compatibility issues

The last 2 posts popped up while I was compiling this list (ME3 only), so there may be some doubles:

But these are some of the mods I tried or wanted to try next.

There are e.g., several additional Armour DLCs for ME3 (but I haven't tested if they all work together):

Spoiler

There are mods that alter outfits of Shep or some squadmates, such as these:

This one is mainly different helmets, but also alters Ashley's casual wear and fixes her Marksman bug:

DLC_CON_Geto01

Tali with a clear helmet and (new!) visible face:

DLC_CON_TaliFF

Way to fun to pass are these mods by AVPen, which give some of the DLC powers as bonus powers, or enable the Citadel StimPack bonus power:

Deager already mentioned these.

There are mods that restore cut content or make the flow better, such as the recruitment fix or Zaeed convo:

(Fob missed the Anderson convo)

If the dream sequences bug you, there is this:

Shorter Dreams

And this is my all time favourite:

EGM - Expanded Galaxy Mod

Eh, I figure people find it now if they want it. ;) I forgot about MOAM, that's a good "all inclusive" mod too. As you can tell A Future Pilot, once you get away from graphics, it's a lot of little mods here and there.

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing lol! And actually...most of those suggested look like stuff that I'll want to use!

Are ME3 Recalibrated, MOAM, and EGM compatible with each other?

Also looking at some of these mods made me think...is there a mod that removes Jack's STUPID glasses from her alternate costume in ME2?

Thanks everybody!!

It looks like EGM is compatible with Recalibrated from what I'm reading on the EGM nexus page. This is not surprising since kinkojiro worked on EGM and Recalibrated; not that knew that, it's just a small group who make mods and we try to work together when we can.

MOAM...I actually have not used it myself. I'm guessing it's a coalesced thing which should be fine but that's a big guess on my part.

Thanks!

So just to be sure I've got this right: I run ME3Explorer and let it unpack the DLC's. Then I install any mods by replacing the files (not texture mods, but all the others). Then I let it scan the texture tree. Then I use the tpf tool to install the texture mods. Do I need to rescan the tree after that?

Thanks!

That order of events looks right to me. I think the new me3explorer does unpack the the DLCs on first opening (I've tested it but my DLCs are usually already unpacked.) And nope, no need to rescan the tree after that, so that's good. The treescan is easily the longest part of the process for most people.

The good news is most mods you install will not even replace original files. They'll just install as DLCs.

And the last bit of info I'll share is that if after you install everything and the game is freaking out by not opening or saying DLCs are corrupt, just run an AutoTOC on all the DLC (mods and official) and the main game. This seems to get everything going again for me, anyway.

Since Content mods are being mentioned now, I can't let the chance to mention my Faster Elevators mod for ME1 go by.

I'm also the author of the Restored Zaeed Conversation mod and would like to note that, if you watched the video and were put off by the bugs exhibited in it, don't be. Those have been fixed in the most recent version, and the whole thing fits in pretty seamlessly now. I just haven't updated the video because, for some unknowable reason, Fraps no longer wants to acknowledge the existence of ME3.

Thanks for the reminder! I'm setting up ME1 right now.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I've got ME1 all modded up (Including the faster elevator mod...thanks for that!)

ME2 is done except for ALOT (I'm waiting for the next update which should be out in a week or two)

And I'm currently installing ALOT for ME3 (I've already installed all the other mods).
