Their music is some of the best rock this generation and the Faunts were the only reason I listened to the credits all the way for Mass Effect1&3.

Honestly I never understood the praise hurled at the ME1 and ME3 credits. I felt that the Faunts tracks were out of place. Vigil or something else from the OST would have been more fitting IMO.

The Faunts track in ME1 worked well because it was like a slowly building actiony song. It got you excited about what might come after. Sort of like the Blade Runner ending/credits:
Elevator doors close, fade to black - credits and music starts up.
Similar to the Mass Effect 1 ending:
Music starts, Normandy fades into the background, cue credits.
It closes off one part of the story and lets you know that there's more action ahead. Of course then we got Mass Effect 2, the AWESOME BUTTON, 'this weapon doesn't have a thermal clip!', A human Reaper, and...
Well, best not to think about it.
I loved ME1's ending credits, the song is great and really fits imo. ME3's ending credits are good too. It would be cool if they were brought back to do MEA credits but this is obviously not a pressing need.

ME1 worked but ME3 felt like BioWare is making fun of us.
Yeah, Das Malefitz was a great song but after that ending...
Yes.
I loved the ending song for ME1, so I agree.
Mass Effect needs to just get some sick obscure synths from the bottomless treasure trove of independent creativity that is Sound Cloud

I liked both credit tracks, but ME1's felt more appropriate to me. The ME3 credits track didn't really have the musical "heft" I would expect of a song that is closing out the entire trilogy.
