Could have been Bartrand if he had not gone crazy.   (One of my fav parts of the whole game series was when Bartrand double crossed us and the Varrics Khan!!!!!!!!!!!!! like Bartrand!!!!!!!!!!!!! scene)

You and I must be the only people who like Bartrand and Gamlen.

The best kind of list would be something like:

1. Monarchs

2. Free Marches officials

3. Antivan Crow Leaders

4. Major nobles such as the Dukes in Orlais and the Teyrns in Ferelden.

5. Minor lords such as Banns

6. Merchant guild members (I don't put this very high, since Varric implies in Dragon Age 2 that it's not unheard of that individuals can surpass them)

And that's purely guesswork. The only reason why I place the crows high is because they are notorious and have the funds to operate in all Thedas.

I don't know who is the richest in the Dragon age but you can be damn sure that the poorest is an elf.

Nah, it'll be the castless in Orzammar. Nathaniel and Sigrun have dialogue in DA:A about how Dust Town is a slum even compared to an alienage.

New solution to Solas' plans: Inquisitor buys the world from him and since it's now their property, they can forbid Solas to destroy it

Apart from the obvious (nobles, monarchs, etc.) I'd say the single most rich entity in Thedas is the Chantry/Divine.

With Andrastian faith being the dominant religion on Thedas, they can reach audiences from all classes and nearly every country, and their policies can practically be felt in every nation (with exceptions being Rivain, Par Vollen and the Wilds). Their mere scope of influence assure them riches.

But then you have to consider the politics and interest of the modern Chantry. One of the major problems expressed in the game, is that the Chantry in the Dragon Age has mostly been focused on consolidating its power. They will take alms, make use of its national connections, and utilize what's left of the Circles to gain wealth and riches, while at the same time only spending that wealth on themselves and not to the needy or the faithful.

I have it on good authority that I'm worth 10 billion Sovereigns in Thedas.

Trump is obviously from another dimension, but I don't think it's Thedas.

Security, get this guy out of here.

The Dwarven merchant guild have a monopoly on the Lyrium and Orzammar trade and they have broadened and expanded to becoming one of the largest trading concerns in Thedas,i would imagine their wealth is the same as our own Earth Templars.

Obviously the underground dwarves. It seems ancient dwarves produced a lot of golds and gems that make every treasure hunter go mad at the sight of it.

We will see if you get in with your petty thieves :D The walls of my vault are secured with fortified steel the best steel money can buy ( as you can see in the picture  ;) ) and the door is locked with a security code you'll never break so you might as well give up before you start and make plans. It is just a waste of your time   :P

So the ancient dwarves were the richest eh? So I guess this means the Darkspawn 'inherited' all of it when they had their empire crumble.

...This seriously makes me wonder how much gold they have just lying around.

Cole. Because he has no desire for any material wealth. That makes him truly rich.
