The armour bonus from Knight Music is your staff's damage x 2. So 174-178 with a Hakkon staff.
Oh damn.. yeah.. makes sense. Locking that song in for my virtuoso builds.

Rofl, that only worked because of spawn camping, playing solo, and no elemental immunities in perilous (only one of which any high end players do, which is occasionally playing solo).
Does anyone actually use cool beats in the field? No.
I think Cool Beats is completely viable in NM!
Paint all the targets in a group, once. The little sky blue numbers will litter the screen. Follow up with one Power Chord
They'll be dead before the second cool beats ticks. I could instead PC twice and it'll be dead, or HL, etc. The most important targets tend to be cold immune and / or with barrier (Despair Demons / Vent mages)
The only good time CB is an advantage is when you have to fight at range against Red Templar Horrors, but even then hot licks is often better because Red Knights are usually clustered in those, buffing them and weak to fire / cold immune.
No just forget about all of the above, pick up all the damage passives and mana passives and then start run around just spamming power chord. Everything else is a waste of mana (and skill points) assuming you don't have a keeper teammate with you.
Power Cord and Encore...that is all
When I play him I just spam power chord....
Yeah, tried playing virtuoso this way also, since I knew I would be running some solo speed runs. Spamming power chord also works beautifully, I must say.
And, it is nice having barrier by default, and a little knight music to throw on others when they come in to my game, die, and I rez them.

I pretty much stopped playing Virtuoso now... Ever since I broken my controller's right button ![]()
I tries to smash that power chord button as much as I physically can but it just won't register. When I'm standing idle with my bard isn't because I'm afk or too busy typing to a friend, it's usually because my damned controller decides to troll. ![]()
Autumn_Witch's take on Virtuosos - I'm not exactly sure what they are exactly or how they do what they do, but its always nice to have one on the team. ![]()
So now that I am trying to work on my wp, I thought I would play virtuoso for a bit. I found out that I am unkillable in perilous so.. I though why not NM? Joined NM... dropped into map 5 of venatori. I don't have anything other than Power Chord... and my staff is electric. So I just run around and hitting the mages with the spirit rune damages and dispel their barriers LOL ![]()
I guess I have to take up CB if I want to play in NM? ![]()
My only fear of practicing the Virtuoso is that I may suffer irreparable injury to my hands which I need for work! But seriously, I will at some point spend a couple days consecutively trying to get the rhythm down. It is awesome possum that he can turn 14/15 minute perilous runs into 10 flat. That means a lot. Too bad I'm already trying to rebound my con and cun up to where my willpower is due to AW/Saarebas addiction for NM

I can feel the strain on my middle finger since I mapped the song button (4) to the middle mouse click. Very soon I won't be able to flip people off with my right hand and then what do I do? ![]()

I'm thinking like this will happen in approximately 4 consecutive days

I was playing a game with two Virtuoso and a Saarebas and me with Alchemist blowing the world up the other day. My poor PS4 was struggling, like everything was moving in slow motion. I kept waiting for the "blue screen" but it churned it's way through. I wonder if the new super 4K PS4 will be better?

There seems to be something buggy about having so many spell effects at the same time. This seems to be compounded when there are multiple virtuosos. This even happens on the PC. I have a very high end PC and the game became an unplayable slideshow when 4 of us tried to do the "Beatles-run" with 4 virtuosos. So the PS4k/Neo would likely struggle as well.

It probably just seem slow to us.. you know all those magic mushrooms we ate before the show. So many color rings and so pretty... ![]()
I'm sure it has something to do with trying to wedge the fat man of data through upload bandwidth of a surgical needle. Perhaps the aoe magic and graphics required per ability are just pushing the limits. It certainly takes a lot more to animate a rapid rainbow wave of doom every second than to display a butter knife poking one baddie in the eyeball.
I got the same performance in a Zither three-way (
) before and after I upgraded my GPU.

What you really want to say is Superior Hardware is no match for Working as Intended. ![]()

4 virtuosos plus NM venatori mages and all their glyphs that is. Simple songs like Fast Beat never seem to drag the performance down. Actually Fast Beat really helps to speed you up when trying to run away from enemies. Verified in an infinite-lap race against qunaris in Orlesian Chateau

Haven't been playing for months because of other priorities in life and I rarely have free time. Then I finally got a chance to open Origin again only to find that my account was hacked
Though I have it recovered now 2/3 people on my friendlist are missing...or perhaps whoever hacked my account deleted them...
Anyway played 2 matches as Virtuoso in Perilous to reminisce good old days. The pugs are new IDs I've never seen before but most of the time we sticked together as a team so it was still tons of fun. Tried A Little Knight Music for the first time and loved it. With Reaver + SS + Battle of the Band we swept through enemy mobs like a tornado
Fast Beat proved its worth once again at stage 5 when SS unexpectedly fell to Samson. I tried several times to reach her but Samson kept knocking me to the ground ( Amulet of Renewal instead of PI on Zither...) So I started playing Fast Beat and kited Samson far enough then rushed back to rez our SS
I do enjoy playing Zither as a support, trying my best to keep everyone alive and kicking so the time any of us spends in fade could kept to minimal. It's definitely slower to clear a map than spamming Power Cord, but I have most fun this way. To me it's equally boring one-shoting most of the mobs, or hardly getting any kill, or spending too much time being a fade spectator ![]()
1) Is your name a play on Ivory? Very Interesting
2) Glad to see you've recovered your account, and you'll get back the friends who still play, HunterKipling made a list for people to sign up with their appropriate console or PC also.

1) yep "Ivy" is the way to pronounce it ![]()
2) Checked HunterKipling's list. Sadly it seems that few of my friends have signed up
I'll be out of town for the rest of the week. Maybe I'll try adding them back bit by bit next week when I'm back.
