I have tried to find anything and everything about modding DAI, but I've had no luck. I manage to find one website, that seems to be the main one but for some reason I can't find any information how to mod the game, etc. And it seems like it requires a subscription. I've spent enough money on all of Bioware's RPG's as it is, thank you very much.

My main reason for trying to mod DAI is for the

Spoiler
quest to change my formal attire. I was beyond annoyed that the DAI companions you bring/Advisors are all dressed in the same uni-sex unflattering formal attire!

It's a bloody ball! Why are all the women around me (with the exception of companions/Advisors) allowed to wear fancy beautiful dresses and masks, except me? I'm a bloody human noble for heaven's sake! And the Inquisitor!  -_- I want a dress!  :(

Also Vivienne talks about her dressmaker? Or whatever, but I can't find the shop and it doesn't seem to change your formal wear? Is this shop even real? Or is it just something she mentions in a conversation for the sake of it?

When speaking about site requiring subscription, are you speaking about Nexus? It's not required to subscribe after registering. The site suggests this, but you're not obligated to do that.

As for Vivienne, it's just something she randomly mentions in conversation. There's no way to change formal attire for WEWH without modding.

http://www.nexusmods...geinquisition/?

I think you might need to register to download .

For mods :

http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/693/?

This software should download DA mod manager.

Basically you create a file and you put your downloaded mods in , you launch DA mod manager , it needs to find the DA.exe etc...

You just click to get your mod files , and click to get your DAI.exe in place and then you click merge and voila!

Better explanation with pictures and everything:

http://daimodder.tum...anager-tutorial

If you're new to modding read carefully the install explanation for each mod you download .Sometimes there's some comptability issues or you need X DLC etc etc.

Thank you. I tried to register, but it asked me to pay... maybe I pressed the wrong button or didn't read it carefully enough. I'll check again.
I'm not completely new to modding, I use a ton of mods for my Sims games, but I'm no where near a pro... So I'm still going to read the install explanation extremely carefully. Better safe than sorry.  :D

Ah thanks! Odd, when I tried to register, they wanted me to subscribe. There wasn't an option not to pay... Maybe I have to look more closely. Bioware shouldn't have put it in a conversation, it got my hopes up.  :(

You mean "Step 1: Choose package", right? It's really optional. Just don't check any package and click create account at the very bottom of that page. I'm sure you don't need to pay.

With regards Viv she  just mentions it in conversation and because she's a noble and a powerful one she has influence in a lot of areas . As has been said there aer a fwe choices on the nexus foer mods but if you like Viv's outfits there aer the Equip like viv an Live like Viv mods that basically allow you to use them on your Inquisitor. Unfortunately though those mods only work on human Inquisitors though but it's better than nothing.

I didn't realize you can skip step 1.  :D  Thanks! That explains it.

Glad to know people here use them, I'll get it sorted ASAP.  :) Thank you.

To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to wear a dress to Halamshiral, even with mods. People have made dozens of different colour variations of the Inquisition formal outfit, but they all seem to be made by texture-swapping the original outfit.

I think I saw some mods with retextured wedding dress?

I'm pretty sure there are mods for a dress during WEWH. I saw quite a few people using those.

There is an option to wear the wedding dress as formal attire.

I agree, the circus director attire for the reception is just abyssmal.

You can definitely wear a dress during Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, I have before. You can't wear one during Trespasser though.

Just look at Commander Shepard in a dress and remember how stupid it looks. The body movements need to be made more feminine for a dress. Hunching your shoulders forward and running with your legs shoulder-width apart isn't very nice to watch.

Yeahhh. I feel you! The formal wear for the WEWH quest is gag worthy for someone of our station at a PALACE. I have noticed Bioware doesn't have their fashion/dress game up to level though   As someone mentioned above, femShep in a pleather sheath dress was hell on the eyes in the worst way.

I think before we get customisation like that, the primary and important figures should get their own body types and walks.

I always lose immersion and think someone is saying something different from the dialogue choice because of the body language. Body language makes up 90% of communication.

You can wear a dress at Halamshiral, but it takes a bit of tinkering, and it might be more trouble than it's worth for a first time mod user. But if you really want to wear one, the method is there. Once you get mods working, read the instructions on this mod and follow them. This method will be compatible with any of the wedding dress retextures (search on the DAI Nexus for "dress"), so just pick one you like and go.

I was about to say something snarky, but it's not relevant to the topic at hand.... But who cares?

I'd like to see Alistair in a dress, actually.

I killed him off in the Keep, so, no dice.

I was being scarcastic, lol. Becuase whenever I think about dresses, somehow Alistair is one of them, staring at me...

Yes, Alistair might fit the definition of dressman.

Quality of formal attire aside, I sometimes feel like I'm the only one who's happy that femQuizzy wasn't forced into dress

Of course being able to pick what you want to wear would be the best.

No, I was happy as well. I hate wearing dresses. If they tried to force a dress on us, I'd've made the Bog Unicorn go in my place.
