To start off, yes, slapping Annihilation Field on a Vanguard makes you VERY OP.  Biotic Explosions everywhere.  I also tested this build on Normal difficulty, so I can't vouch for Insanity.  I wasn't sure which ME3 Forum to post this on, so I opted for the Multiplayer boards because, well, I like you folks more.  Anyway, it's a pretty cool build.  I'm not the best player in the world, but I had fun with it!

 

I decided to try out the build after discovering this mod that allows you to assign Multiplayer powers to Shepard in the Single Player campaign.  I recommend giving it a shot

IIRC, Annihilation Field is from the Multiplayer game and came with the Earth DLC pack on the N7 Fury .  I was able to assign it as Shepard's Bonus Power with the mod.

How come I've never heard of this before ?? I'm currently doing a playthrough as an infiltrator so Annihilation field is wasted on me !!

Most of my research was done via PMs to the right people and threads in the SP part of the forums, I think. Been a while.

It also didn't even occur to me to record... I thought people were doing that quite a bit?

Edit: now that I remember, there's an awesome thread on the SP forum that shows you exactly how to do this. Though it's a bit long and technical. The worst part, for me, was managing to get two different installs of ME3 and get my PC to recognize both. I think I didn't even manage in the end, I just found a workaround. You know, I couldn't play MP with such extensive modifications.

What could possibly be OP about having a biotic explosion that restores your shields and sets up a second biotic explosion which also restores your shields?  Sounds like crazy talk.
