Hi,

Can anyone shed any light on what the small symbols mean which are shown
at the top of various abilities icons?

As shown below, circled in red, the Shadow Strike ability has a small star shape: *

at the top and the Stealth ability has a  shape like:  _/\_

*  = ?

_/\_  =  ?

Any help would be appreciated as I have been trying to find the answer
for some time now, but cant find it anywhere.

I think /\ means the ability is sustainable.

Yeah, after checking skills I think Apollexander is right about that one. Bodyguard, Blizzard, Stealth... All of those kinda fit "sustainable" label (for DAI standards at least).

 

As for that little star... It seems abilites that work as detonators in cross-class combos have them.
