When the Inquisitor teams up with Hawke and his Warden ally, also when you discover the truth about lyrium/Titans and Iron Bull's betrayal.

Being a non-faithful Inquisitor who founded the Inquisition on Order. "Our concern must be the order and safety of this world, not the next. I'm not chosen; I HAVE chosen, and I will lead us to victory."

Hearing the 'Once We Were' for the first time. Beautiful song,  beautifly sung. :)

Yeah the getting to Skyhold and teaming up with Hawke and the warden is probably my fave section of DAI and pretty much all the missions you do with them.

Hmm.. I'd say my favourite part is the march into the Arbor Wilds. The Inquisitor and advisors rally together with allies to fight Corypheus' remaining forces. It shows how much the Inquisition has grown since Haven's fall. The music score in this scene is also fitting.

Having the Inquisition disband at the end, losing an arm and hearing Teagan rightly chew us out for all the crap we did. Serves us right for being a tool of the Chantry. I'm still irked that no matter what you do at the end, the Orlesian Empire is not significantly depowered or dismantled in any way, shape or form, thus letting it be free to continue to act as the greatest imperialistic menace on Thedas.

The only thing that would make it better is if a giant Fade spider devoured us the moment the moment we turned around the corner. A fitting end.

Here lies the Abyss. Pretty much all of it, but especially the Fade Part.

I have to say, discovering Skyhold is on the same level of goose-bumpiness as the opening cinematic of the original Mass Effect, with the rousing score as Shepard enters the cockpit and the Normandy approaches the Mass Effect relay for the first time. Wo/Man. GOOSEBUMPS every single time. That's really well done by BW imo.

Like CuteNug said, I really appreciate any moment where the Inquisitor develops a sense of identity/soul, probably because it's so freaking rare (BW did a really sh!tty job at this in DA:I in general). The 'disband inquisition angrily' scene had me pick my jaw off the floor because it was so unexpectedly awesome. The Blackwall scene in the prison, esp. with a romanced Blackwall, was so heartbreakingly beautiful that despite its overwhelming sadness, it clearly is one of the high points of this game for me.

The Descent had some very memorable humorous moments too. I absolutely loved the 'judged by the Nug King' (or was it Queen?) scene. Wish there had been more humour in DA:I (DA:KW with a sarcastic Hawke spoiled me, I suppose...)

Yeah in summary I think any scene that managed to rise out of the suffocating sea of blandness that is DA:I in general qualifies. Honorable mention goes to seeing the dragon and the giant on the Storm Coast fight for the first time. Blimey.

Hard to pick one... Arriving at Skyhold is great, Leliana's lightened mood after her mission if she isn't hardened, the marriage, the Solas reveal, the Flemeth reveal, Dagna, how spirituality is actually dealt with deftly and with grace...... So much awesome. Maybe just arriving to a new place and feeling the history with no words needed. Thedas feels like a real world, not a game world.

My opinion (don't care if you don't agree):

"Solas romance and the Temple of Mythal" were the first words/images to spring to mind.

I loved playing an elf and getting all the elfy content: other characters acknowledging mah elfiness, Solas the elf-romancer, exploring elfy areas like the Exalted Plains, Emerald Graves, and Temple of Mythal, discovering all the elfy revelations (the truth of Red Crossing at the Knight's Tomb, discovering the true fall of Arlathan in the Temple of Mythal and Trespasser), the tragic and brief reunion of Solas and Lavellan at the end of Trespasser.
