Leliana. I like the DA:O connection, and I like her approach to solving problems. I especially like her as Divine.

One thing I didn't like about her DA:I story is how everyone reacts to her personal quest. If you Steeled her instead of Inspiring her (a choice depending on three random conversations spanning the entire game) it's basically treated as the "bad" ending. Blackwall in particular will say she's some sort of tragic figure. WTF? What if I'm just tired of reform never happening and want to get stuff done?

Varric for me. He was my Hawke's bro in DA2, and he's my Inky's bro as well. But I'm also very fond of Solas, Bull, Cassandra and Dorian. Josephine is adorable and I love her. Cullen I like, will probably like him even more once I romance him. Cole is okay, I like him but I've never taken him with me so... maybe in my next game. I did like him in the book and I have done his personal quests. I never cared much for Leliana to be honest... I'm finally warming up to Sera and Blackwall too (it only took me four playthroughs).

Vivienne can die in a ditch for all I care.

DAO: Duncan, Riordan and Loghain. There's nothing more respectable/inspiring than an experienced and wise warrior.

DAA: Nathaniel, Anders and Justice, because they have some of the most interesting banter/conversations.

DA2: Anders and Fenris. The 2 sides of the coin in the Mage-Templar dilemma.

DAI: Solas and Thom, I just love characters with agendas of their own/dark pasts.

What's your fave companion and why, trust me this is a conversation to die for!

I'm partial to Blackwall.

I like Cullen more than any of my companions  He's so sweet, pretty, and awkward.

DAO: Morrigan (common, the best companion writing I remind), Oghren. Alister is a special case, most "hated" when played with a Male character, touching when played with a Female character.

DA2: Merryll, Aveline, Varric, Isabela

DAI: Cassandra, Blackwall, Varric

Overall: Morrigan, Merryll, Aveline, Varric (DA2), Oghren, Alister with a Female character, Cassandra, Isabela, Blackwall, Varric (DAI)

In my opinion DAI companions writing is a bit average, Cassandra is only a half exception.

Vivienne is my favourite in Dragon Age Inquisition... I find her remarks funny as well as her regular clashes with other companions!

I already posted my choices but forgot add I deliberately ignored almost entirely Vivienne and Iron Bull, and a lot Sera. I kept them for an eventual future replay, but I have now doubts it will happen until a long time, because for me the combats aren't good enough.

Yeah the Iron Bull doesn't fight as well as you would think.
