Would people play Dragon Age if it was in a MMO style?

I would gladly , as long doesn't count as a game continuity, because in a MMO you would have your path set by the story and not being able to make choices of your own would defeat the purpose of this franchise.

if they do a DA MMO I'll simply find something else to do in my spare time.

I would, depending on the scope and the premise of the MMO. It could be fun, if done right - i.e. p2p not f2p/p2w.

I would though I prefer single player games. I play both WoW and SWTOR and enjoy them both.

No, I like single player, and I don't want to play with anyone. I like the game for the storyline, I am the hero, being told you're the savior then see 8 other guys running around being told the same thing. Bioware is a story driven RPG company, not an MMO company, let's stick to what they're good at.

Definitely no.
I like MMO too, i played WoW and TESO and tryed some anothers, but I prefer the single player games. Yes, here I'm the hero, and i do not need adapt to others. I play my own style and my own pace. (And I hate gathering, you hear, BioWare?!)
If I feel like playing with someone again, I look back to the old peers.

Sadly, also I think so: a lot of filler quests, a lot of stupid gathering...

I took a very long break from the game for a while, and I recently returned. I realize why I took a break from the game after being bombarded by these obnoxious filler quests that is meaningless... and the puzzles are.... blah! Theirs nothing to help you other than to go on YouTube on your mobile phone, and seek help from there.
Bioware tends to favor aggravation and frustration over fun and entertainment. I don't know why either.

Some probably would.
Personally, no. I'm not a big fan of playing games with other people, especially not RPGs. Racing and fighting games maybe, but not RPGs.
I did try the Star Wars game for a little while, and I remember constantly wishing that there was a single player mode so I could just block all those other people running around. Especially if it was available offline, because my connection was bad and the game lagged like there was no tomorrow in the hub places, it was only bearable in the more closed off story missions. Which is a shame, because the game itself was rather fun, but the online and people part made it unbearable.
I also love the pause button, which would probably not be around in an mmo game.

No. I don't want Thedas littered with online randos. Man, that'd be terrible.

This. Being able to make choices and have them affect the storyline (more or less) is what has made this franchise as popular as it is. I like MMOs (I occasionally play RuneScape, Eldevin or DDO), but they tend to have a much more linear system, and the f2p ones are often also p2w.

We'd probably be mostly playing DAI then, except with other players running around and occasional chat lines like these:

A Dragon Age MMO? probably not. DA and MMO just doesn't really mesh well together.
Dragon age as a game, is mostly about player interaction in a story driven setting. Character choices and consequences, how players will react to the world around them and the story that unfolds in it. With an MMO you just don't have that same type of effect.
That being said though. It would really depend on a few things.
How good is the story?
What's the story about?
Who is your character?
At what point in the timeline does this take place?
Where in Thedas is this happening?
I really don't think i could see a DA game turning out to be a good MMO, mostly because it wouldn't really be in a style that FITS the Dragon Age. Were it to somehow be done right, and turned out great, then yes, i might be inclined to play it.

I've played the MMO Runescape for years and still haven't gotten anywhere in that game. There's so much grinding, for real that game never ends. Therefore, whenever I think of MMOs I think of that endless grinding.
It could be fun tho with all those noobs trolling around with lines that Gileadan mentioned.

Dragon Age Inquisition definitely had the MMO touch to it.
true but it's moer an MMO that's been converted to single player I prefer games that aer single player I've given a go to some free MMO's but I'm not particularly good at them and I generally prefer to play alone anyway.

well generally i dont like multiplayer games, but, dragon age MMO means i can RP in the world of dragon age. so to answer your question: hell yeah.
but first let them finish their series and the story they wish to tell in single player games, then we can talk about MMO ![]()

That depends.I would on these conditions...
Keep it as a Isolated Time Period, preferably a prequel to all DA games.
Keep it story-driven.
If it doesn't interfere with the Single-Player DA games.

Inquisition already felt like an MMO with a single player campaign:
- huge maps but lifeless and boring
- a lot of fetch side quests, with absolutely no plot or any backstory
- forced grinding that blocks you from doing campaign
Bioware was trolling when they said they are looking at Skyrim as an example, because it seems they took most elements from World of Warcraft instead.

Definitely not. I hate MMO's with an absolute vengeance. This Franchise would die for me if it turned MMO, same as Mass Effect and KOTOR did.

No, I would hate that. I like the stories and the npc interaction, that's something, you wouldn't have in a MMO. Plus, I don't want to play another mmo - they are so time consuming. I played SWTOR for a long time and liked it, but I like to decide for myself, when to play and how long - something, you can't always do in a guilde (and I was one of our raid healers later on)
And I have to agree, a lot of the farming and fetching elements are already in Inquisition - much more detailed, than in any other single player game I know. I would like to reduce them a bit again in the next game. I like, how different materials give your armors different looks and different stats, but it's a bit much
