The lil baby stock on the Punisher amuses me to no end.

Like the Revenant, it can be alright, but you have to jump through too many hoops to get there for it to be worth it.

It's fun if you hit. Then you melt faces. I use it with the Quarksman.

I just gave that a try.  Worked better than I expected.  Not my favorite weapon on him, by any means, but definitely not bad.

Its the worst UR SMG, but if it was downgraded, it would be the best rare SMG.

Sadly for me it is my best UR SMG. Even my wife's low manifest account (not quite maxed rares) has a higher Hurricane than I do, and at 4, the CSMG is barely usable. Yet my BPP is a very high level. I DO see this changing if they others even level up, but trollstore be trollin'.

Well at least you have something to look forward to.  The Hurricane X on an accuracy boosted class is everything you've heard and more.

Hurricane reminds me too much of the Harrier. CSMG and Lancer are the two guns I really want to level up. And Spitfire, wife has that one MUCH higher as well.

The Lancer is awesome. My favourite gun in the game. Works well with the QFI. It's the only class I use I use it a lot. :)

It's not even 4-5th choice on anything. Movement speed penalty makes it complete crap.

I was trying to be nice.  ^_^

Coming from anyone on BSN,I can't believe you threw the Spitfire under the bus like that :( .It's just like the BPP,there are certain kits(via passives/bonuses) it shines on.For example I know there are a few guys here who have been in my lobby when I've used the Spitfire GI.Unorthodox as fuc*,but a brutal combination.I found a different playstyle than cloak/proxy/shoot.RHA and situational awareness make for complete havoc with this build.

As far as the BPP goes,Turians,Geth, and Vorcha are the only guys I use it on.

I didn't throw it under the bus, I said it's the worst UR, so the worst weapon among the best ones. Some characters can make it shine, of course. The problem is that the movement speed penalty makes it a pita to use for most of the good weapons platforms. I've tried the Spitfire on several characters but quickly came to the conclusion that the Juggernaut was the only character I really appreciate this gun with.

If the Spitfire isn't the worst UR, then which one is ?

As much as I like the spitfire (Personally, I prefer it to several other URs), I'd consider it the worst UR purely in terms of utility. It weighs a lot which restricts it to very few classes that don't rely on a lot of powers. Then there's the movement speed penalty (not a bad idea but it is the only one that suffers from it). And on the said characters, typhoon is a superior alternative. In the hands of MM, DM, HM characters the BPP shines more than the spitfire. There's also the random screenshake when firing it (which can make it annoying). Blah blah blah, it can be made to work but even the shuriken and vindicator can be made to work.

Since DPS is considered king, I can't believe scorpion hasn't been mentioned. It's DPS is silly and venom does everything better.

Having said that, I like the spitfire more than half the ARs, and scorpion is one of my favorite pistols.

Agreed. Actually I thought about the Scorpion too when I said that the Spitfire was the worst UR. It's fun to use and it's a nice light secondary weapon, but as a primary it's pretty terrible. It had more utility before the Venom was released but now it feels too underwhelming.

[snip] hands of MM, DM, HM [snap]

ftw. cough. Ok. I get that MM means "Volus Protector with Marksman Skills" and HM means "Human Adept with Hawk Missile". But what would the DM be : Deutsch Mark? Are classes old-school nowadays in our modded games?

I like the Scorpion, due to it's ability of turning infantry into giblets, putting googly eyes on things, & putting an explosive smiley faces on an Atlas.

Have you tried the csmg

CSMG and Hurricane are both better guns, but I think the extended armor DPS of the BPP is better than the CSMG and about as good as the Hurricane.  Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying the BPP is better than either of those guns.  I'm saying if you want to use the BPP just for the sake of using it, here's a way you can use it without feeling like you're handicapping yourself too much vs. a different weapon.  The strength of the BPP is sustained armor DPS, and its weakness is.... pretty much everything else.  This takes advantage of its strength without really letting its weaknesses hurt you too much.

I'm not disagreeing but I find Reave-Bubble-Reave to be almost as fast, and more fun, than switching weapons from my Acolyte, in almost all Boss-related circumstances, particularly Atlases - they're too busy being staggered themselves to do much damage. I will usually have a Tempest with me, but never really bother with it unless I'm on a hack or something.

There seems to be more hate for the GPSMG than the BPP, which is funny as it's only a rare weapon. There are very few rare weapons that I would choose above it for the Geth Engineer, who becomes a fire-exploding WMD with incendiary ammo, mag upgrade and heavy barrel.

I sometimes do Reave-Bubble-Reave along with spraying the BPP, because it is more fun.  But I rarely host, and I find that Reave-Bubble-Reave can be sketchy if there's a little bit of lag.  Also, it's not always practical, like on Praetorians or when the positions of other enemies makes it difficult.  I don't have any problem switching weapons, but I know a lot of people do.

I don't hate the GPSMG, but I think its ramp-up is stupid.  If you use powers frequently, you spend too much time in ramp-up mode and too little time in full-damage mode.  To me, it works best as a long-range sidearm on a weapons class that is using a range-limited main weapon.  I sometimes play the GE similar to the way you are saying, but I use the Phaeston or GPR instead.

So do I, but I run out of AR amps all the time, and while headshot boosts are quite handy with all those guns, I never, ever run low on SMG amps, so that's probably why it stands out for me as an enjoyable effective build for the GPSMG. I seem to be able to work around the ramp up reasonably well, at least where mooks are concerned, because I suspect I may have used Chain Overload more than most of the rest of you lot put together. I know with some bosses I may sometimes fire the early rounds into the soft cover in front of me, so that I'm at least doing max damage when they can hit me too. It's not the best, but it absolutely works on him.

As for switching weapons, I found myself doing it regularly when playing some SP recently, while trying to replicate MP gameplay by not using the pause wheel or levelling up squadmates, and was wondering why I do it so little in MP. I really don't know, but aside from the usual single weapon bonus amp, I suspect it's a cooldown issue - I think I like as light a loadout as possible because I (generally) prefer powers to guns.

You can try to replicate the PUG experience, but AI can never compete with advanced PUG intuition.

The Scorpion holds a special place in my heart for what it's able to do motherflippin, bubble spammin phantoms and those miserable c***sucking Goons. Seeing those blew to bits is always great fun, almost on par with a Scumbag falcon punch.

Scorpion is very fun to use on the Volus Vanguard. First you hurl seven small balls from Scorpion, then four large balls (Biotic Orbs), and then the huge ball (Biotic Charge).

IMO, on a marksman kit, you can barely notice the difference between 6 and 8.

Personally, for gold, I like BPP more than hurricane on a weapon platform or any turian and, IMO, hurricane is better suitable for casters who have trouble dealing with big bosses. Other casters get CSMG. GI does not need neither and is perfectly fine with tempest. For platinum pugs, anything goes, even GI or TSol with hurricane. But these guys are a bit overpowered for gold.

AP round does 5x the standard damage as well.
