So, to simulate the BPP experience, I should equip Tempest and Carnifex and constantly switch between them? Now that's going to be fun.
If you do that, you'll might actually hit something. ![]()

It was less about defending the BPP and more about how poor a sample set PHOF data is when comparing weapons or classifying them as worst etc.You also like the Collectors more than anything else and now you are defending the BPP, I don't even.....
What an awesome glorious faction.
Trollectos are ok-ish, at least before they get crowded with Geth. Geth are...yeah. I mean, I was in a Geth/London game right now, we got disconnected and I'm not even mad.
Dodged the bullet right there.
The BPSMG is a niche weapon that requires either decent recoil control or a character with abilities that compensate for its weaknesses. And I am okay with this. It makes it a more interesting weapon to me than the one-size-fits-all guns in this game that are super powerful, easy to use and have no actual drawbacks.
I believe the PHOF disproves that, very few platinum solos are done with the BPP since it's mediocre at best,
Then some players might like the BPP, but that's not really the same as it being a good gun.
The PHOF only proves that people largely gravitate towards the most broken weapons in the game to solo, not that the weapons people don't commonly use in solos aren't good.

Nevertheless, thanks for bringing collectors into this. What an awesome glorious faction.
You also think Collectors and Geth are fun enemies and totally fair.
So yeeeeeaaaahhh... pinch of salt and all that.
collectors are fun and best enemy faction in multiplayer .... geths, on the other hand, annoying but still better than derperus.
The logic is very simple, if the BPP really were a great weapon more people would use it, but most people don't since it's mediocre at best. The PHOF is a great source of data as it shows which guns in this game are good and which guns that are less good.
So, you agree with my first post, which is an extension of this logic?
Also, there are broken guns. The poor performance of PUGs has very little to do with this. They just don't understand the game mechanics. Reegar is absurdly powerful but PUGs use it without armor weakening mods/ammo and with some silly ammo like phasic.

Hear! hear!

Speaking of the PHOF....
Did you know that BPP's average time per use ranks it in the top 15 (among guns that have atleast 10 entries) and top 20 overall? So may be it's not just a 'put on everything'/'fits like a glove' sort of gun but when you do make it work it does a solid job. ![]()

Coming from some one who likes cerBS.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. So yeeeeaaaaahhh...your opinion.. LOL.

Yes but that is mainly due to TTT using it with the Tsol, it's not exactly the kind of gun most of us use.
There you go. There are other things besides the gun itself that influence the PHOF stats.
The data set in PHOF has a lot of factors influencing it. It's not as cut and dry as you make it out to be. Player's preference plays a huge role in it. The widow, which is a better gun than the BPP in terms of practicality has less than 50% of BPP entries. The collector sniper rifle, which is often regarded as a great weapon has < 5 entries. If BPP were mediocre at best, that'd make widow bad and CSR garbage (but neither is true).
Even among the characters, the QMI (one of the most powerful characters in the game) ranks in the bottom 10 as far as # of entries go. That doesn't mean it's a bad kit, just not the popular choice among players for various reasons. I can give you several examples where the PHOF stats are not ideal for these comparisons. Several other factors influence this. At the end of the day, most people use characters and weapons that are easy to handle and are a bit forgiving.
I get that you don't like the BPP, that's fine. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, just that using the PHOF data set to argue the effectiveness of a gun/character isn't always a good idea.

No. Simply... no.

Yeah, I do. But unlike you, I always admitted Cerberus engages in more than fair share of bullshit. Something that you, despite being pointed out multiple times, by multiple people, are still unable to do for Collectors.
Honestly, sometimes I ask myself if you're simply trolling and I'm an idiot for swallowing it hook, line and sinker.

I would answer both of these but I have absolutely no idea why you even dragged collectors into this debate (and stated the obvious about my fondness for the Collectors) when my posts have been primarily about the BPP and the PHOF data.
Was it the claymore mention? Should everyone just worship and swoon at the mere mention of its name? I don't. If anything, I was merely using it as an example (because Bateman loves that gun) to make a completely different point about PHOF stats and BPP. In fact, despite me berating the claymore in my first post, I was actually making a point (indirectly) in its favor (in my prev. post). But you, and several others don't even understand the full context and just go Collectors blah blah.
This is an internet forum. The 'pinch of salt' argument is implied.
Don't know about gameplay because I never use this weapon but I'm sure it'd make an excellent pneumatic nail gun. With all that piercing power, the things you could nail...
No. Simply... no.

With the exception of things not under their power (Such as memleak, hard freeze, and bad netcoding/lag), Collectors do not have anything like the BS of Cerberus. The single most BS thing they possess is Possessed Scions. Their Phasic Ammo hand cannon is fine, just a tweaked Ravager blast, no big deal. However, their Cluster Grenade spam is very OP. Hard cover defeats Collectors handily if not for Possessed Scions, everything they have other than the Cluster Grenade spam is totally foiled by hard cover. So their cluster grenade spam is justified, if annoying (Its exact purpose).
What else could you claim is BS? Butt-lazors? Lag/netcode, not their fault. Crab Stunlock? Banshees, Primes, and Brutes also do this. I can't think of anything else. Anyone else want to try and think of something?

Bees.
Bees.
Drill rounds 3, shield/healthgate ignoring OHK lazers.
Everything about the Praetorian sync kill, from complete lack of telegraphing, to magneting you from several meters away through walls.
Bees.
Especially the Seeker Plague.

I'd say swarms qualify for that as well. Irritatingly hard to hit with powers and accurate weapons, and if they get close, you have to either back off, or loose your powers and shields and get an accuracy drop .

Oh, so that's what they used to put the nails in the walls of the apartment I just finished renovating yesterday! The spread of the BPP explains the completely random scattered placement of them. Lets see, clip size of 40 rounds, so maybe three clips? Who hangs posters (or whatever was there) with a nail gun anyways? Yes, they were actually nails off of a strip for a gun, not the kind you put in with a hammer.
Possessed mooks have ridiculously effective barriers.

There aren't many more. The other factions took the remaining BS. Like 90000% DR, popping smoke out of their a-hole, missiles hitting you after dodging them, not giving a damn about being stasis'd, mooks not getting staggered by the strongest BE, teleporting through walls and syncing you, melee swipes that have 50m radius, post-mortem acid that has a DoT of 100 damage ticks per second.
