Was it the claymore mention? Should everyone just worship and swoon at the mere mention of its name?
Yes! Yes, they should!
Aaaaaand we have a winner!

This thread has proven that Claymore > BPP.

I don't.
Really? Damn. Who'd have thought a submachinegun would be less effective in damage than a shotgun? This thread has proven that Claymore > BPP.
As somebody getting back into the game while playing both new and maxed accounts,It's really not bad at 10,but sucks at 2.I wouldn't expect to score really high on Gold with a lower level, but it's perfectly playable non the less..
The BPP that is..
Was it the claymore mention? Should everyone just worship and swoon at the mere mention of its name?
Why yes... Everyone should
My opinion: NO!
More long-winded reasoning:
On the kits that can take full of advantage of the weapon there are other guns I prefer. On the less optimal kits the options become suicide charge or don't play it thanks to how scrubby I am. As anyone who has played with me can tell you: "Oh my god he just ran in" is extremely common. If I'm going to do the dumb, then I need to make sure I can live through it so "god darn it cat" isn't the norm. Even if I like the BPP there are just better guns for the let's do this moments and I don't feel like sacrificing 2 equipment slots to make a single weapon passable.
Wraith>Claymore.
Wraith>Claymore.
Time for the BPP to take a back seat. This is now a claymore thread.... Proceed BSN

There's nothing special about it to swoon over.
More importantly,

Archangel, you are trained in ARs and snipers. You shouldn't be involved in a discussion about shotguns and smgs. Go back to calibrating stuff.
Haven't been in the MP forum in a while. This thread was an interesting re-acclimation.
BPP does its job pretty well. Anti-armor. It's poor against humanoids. What enemy types are most common and in general have the most anti-player DPS? Humanoids.
You can make it passable against humanoids with a lot of accuracy bonus so that you can add up many base (aka tickle) shots, and it helps to have some recoil control to get AP headshots. If you are stuck relying entirely on AP headshots every 8th bullet, you are wasting a lot of time and probably exposing yourself to more damage than is reasonable. SP BPP sidesteps this completely by having very powerful base shots, and as such is one of the top weapons in SP.
As a pure anti-armor sidearm, it is probably better than CSMG, which is commonly overrated on here. The exception might be against Dragoons and Pyros, which could simply be dealt with using the primary.

Well, his calibrations happen to be good enough to bend the lines between shotgun and sniper, so...
He can also make the Mantis and Javelin semi-automatics.

If they were good enough to bend the lines between shotgun and sniper, he would've talked up Crusader. Not the claymore. I knew there was something up with the hyphen in his name; this is not the real archangel.
Lets bring more guns into this discussion.

ME2 Shuriken - good
ME3 Shuriken - woeful
LMAO! Good one, I needed something like that tonight! XD
I exist to disprove these posts...ME2 Shuriken - good
ME3 Shuriken - woeful

Everyone always forgets the Talon. It's okay baby, I remember.
Also...
Talon.
I exist to disprove these posts...
Though every gun was better in ME2.
ME2 BPP - doesn't exist.
ME3 BPP - exists.
Existent guns are by definition better than nonexistent ![]()
Seriously tho, I can't use the BPP because it was made for retarded people vorcha who are so dumb they don't even know how to switch ammo types. I mean, Quarksman would probably rekt shop with it, but I don't wanna insult his intelligence by handing him a derpy vorcha gun.

I don't use the Kishock, the BPP, the Graal or the Executioner on my QFI.
My mind automatically goes "a quarian shouldn't be using this". Save it for the Batarians, Krogan and the Vorcha. ![]()
I use the Lancer though. As a potentially very expensive collector's item, it has class.
FYI, I don't like the Claymore. If I wanted a high damage single shot weapon, I'd go for the Widow. It's more accurate and can shoot at a longer range. If I wanted a shotgun, I'd go for the Crusader. While it deals less damage, it's much more accurate and can shoot at a longer range, and has a larger magazine. So the Claymore is of no use to me at all. It's ineffective in my hands, because I prefer long range - which the Claymore kind of struggles with tbh. ![]()
