Hi everyone. Thanks for your continued help. I've downloaded a couple hair mods and am trying to get them to work together. However, I can't seem to get all of them to show up. I have already renamed them all so that there are no override conflicts. Unfortunately, there seems to be a spot where I will click the next button for the next hair on the character creation screen and it seems to skip hairs.

For example, we get to Hair65 (or whatever it is). Instead of showing me a new hair when I press the 'next' button, it stays on that hair. I have to click it a number of times to get the next hair to actually show up. It is always in that region. The other hairs show up fine when I click 'next' or 'previous'.

This leads me to think that there are reserved names/ranges for hairs or something. Could someone help me out here?

If you're renumbering hair models, it's probably messing up because there are no skeletons for the new numbers.  The skeletons are .gr2 files.  You can try copying a skeleton for that number, or it might possibly be worth making 2DA edits to specify the skeletons for this purpose, though it's usually not necessary for character parts that follow naming conventions like these.

How did you rename the hair mdb files?

It's the oblivion to NWN2 mod that I am having some trouble with. I am only changing the numbers around.

ie P_EEM_Hair74 to P_EEM_Hair82

There were conflicts with some of my other hair mods and Races of Faerun. Some of the hairs from the Oblivion to NWN2 mod work. Others do not show.

Are there any rules for renaming files? For example, I know in NWN1, the file names had to be continuous. Any break in the file naming would make the engine overlook anything after the number break.

Same question as olnorton. You can't just rename the mdb file with the explorer: the mesh inside the mdb also needs to be renamed. Did you try with MDB Cloner or MDBconfig?

The only naming rule in this case is to follow the naming convention.  The numbers don't need to be continuous here.  What the others say about using MDB Cloner or similar is of course true, but if it still doesn't work, look into the skeleton possibility.

Just updating for posterity. MDBconfig fixed all my problems!
