Objectives: Pizza, Targets, Escort
High: Mission was successful. Previous gold solo was with reegar puggernaut grindfest on glacier that shouldn't count.
Lows: Took too long, ran out of all consumables except thermal clips and went down with 1 sec remaining.

This is "cover/dodge fire" thing I recently uncovered. If you hold the trigger button, and your kit's animation changes from running/dodging/covering/using power to walking, your gun shoots automatically. Basically, the Rocket Trooper can fire, hide behind the cover and fire immediately again, then go out of cover and fire again.
If they have a sprint animation, it's even easier: the Rocket Trooper fires, breaks into sprint for a split second, stops and fires again automatically.

This was explained by Biower Dev back in 2012. Nothing was done about it though and not only Rocket Troopers do it, but other enemies too (like Nemesis). Rocket Trooper cheats are just more noticeable because it's a big ass rocket coming your way and it tracks you.

You can't do it with the Javelin because it's a one-shot weapon. You can have fun with non-auto multiple-shot weapon though, like this:
Charge, then hold shoot button (the weapon shoots right upon arrival), and, without releasing it, use a PD or two. The weapon will automatically shoot after the PD animation ends.

Thanks for explaining in detail and also the vid. So my understanding is it will work with semi auto weapons. So it should work with venom and GPS??? Or does it have to be a specific kind of semi auto. Some SA weapons in game shoot without needing multiple clicks as long as you keep the trigger button pressed. But some need multiple clicks.

This works on any weapon, multiple clicks or not. You can even BC+Claymore, if you so desire. Or, with semi-auto sniper rifles (e.g. Krysae), you can scope, fire a shot, then hold the trigger, target something else, use a power, and the next shot will be fired immediately.
Sadly, no semi-auto weapon in the game (save, perhaps, Raider) has the same ridiculously low refire rate as the geth rocket launcher.

Tactical Cloak, Devastator Mode, Hawk Launcher and Hunter Mode (and, presumably, AR, Marksman, Repair Matrix, Biotic Focus and Stimulant Pack - didn't test) don't constitute an "animation change" and cannot be used for this purpose. Vorcha Bloodlust probably can, but it's impractical.
Turian Saboteur + Lancer + Acolyte vs. Geth on Ghost
Everything was going rather fine, could be a lot faster, but I am not complaining.
Got down two times on W2 to triple prime staggerfuck, and as usually got away with two gels and one ops pack. W3 and W6 were pizza delivery. Everything was going smoothly except getting shot from wild combat drone on occasions. I wasted two ops packs because of those. Wave 6 comes, and after second pizza I god locked on LZ. Brutes hugging me from everywhere, meanwhile Prime-Ravanger fucksquad arrived to f_ck me from above, remaining of my ops packs and medi gels were wasted but I got away.
At the very end of W7 there was only Banshee, Marauder, and Pyro left. My poor turian was punched by his indoctrinated cousin just to be frayed by Pyro.
This is what gets me, I know it is not faster or smoothest solo ever, but it is my first platinum solo against Geth where I had genuine feeling that I am doing just fine to be able to finish it. Got good objectives, spawns were well placed, Primes for the most part fell in my trap that is (usually getting them to go to top pod on lower street while I take ladder to the central pod and take them out from above).......

Only used 5 missiles because the w9 spawns were terrible and I couldn't find a good opportunity, but this just makes it even more epic.

Glacier/Trollector/Gold
Was doing fine, even managed w3 hack rather smoothly. Had my 5ws in the bag and what do I get for w6? Devices! Great 
! Pretty much yoloed the first device, what with a scion having a beat on me. Tried to kite the enemies as best I could, but I can pretty much forget that against Collecturds. The only enemies getting kited are usually abombs, scions and crabs, the least dangerous to me ( most of the time anyway ). So there I was, wondering what to do and decided, after the first yolo went so smoothly, to yolo it again. Got the second deactivated. And then I see that the enemy is trying to box me in. Spotted a path out of the trap, just have to pass that crab on the right and hop over that counter there. It was at that point, that the game decided, 2 yolos is enough. And stoopid me didn´t think of pulling out a missile which led to me unceremoniously getting my head ripped off. Rather funny actually.
