I had a dream last night..it was very involved but the DAI highlight is that I told my best friend in the dream about how Solas stole all of my bank cards and had all of my money buried in alternative dimension and I was upset I can't access my entire funds. She asked me who tf Solas is- and then I had to explain to her that he's just a video game character and she rolled her eyes at me.
Nice dream brain!
Solas would do that, stupid elfy elf.
I've never had a DA dream, but I do have this thing where I make up different plot lines on how I would like to see the story play out. Things like I'd really like to see King Alister realize he's actually in love with Morrigan and he makes her his queen.Or a plot where Zevran and Fenris with a rag tag group going through Tevinter to weed out and excute slavers and accidently bumping heads with Dorian who is working an underground system that helps escaped slaves to get out of Tevinter. Using Zev as bait, allowing him to be caught by slavers, Fenris and his group follow the slavers to mansion where there's a buyer, unfortunately that buyer is Dorian who was tipped off that the ever elusive former Antivan Crow, Zevran Arainai is in need of assistance, so long story short, some slavers and slaves enter the mansion, Dorian has his own groupf freedom fighters in place, they fake a deal and just when they're about to spring the trap, Fenris comes smashing in to so save the elf. Swords clash, fire balls fly and after a great deal of damage to the building and some injuries, both teams realize they're onthe same side and kill the slavers, but the poor mansion is burnt to the ground.
Anyway, I don't think day dreams are what you meant... ![]()
Odd one last night. The whole crew came over for dinner, Cullen stayed after the rest left then, he opened a rift (don't ask me, he didn't have the Anchor) but it took us to a cabin in Ferelden then, turned into Solas and killed me, well he intended to and I woke up before I actually died.
I've had 1 or 2 ME style ones but never any DA ones that I recall as yet although tbh I don't really remember what my ME ones were about either.
SO I had a real kicker last night and the worse part was it was a nightmare but a really GOOD nightmare. And it got really weird and esoterric but I didn't want to leave and when I was woken up and discovered I was dreaming I was kinda pissed.
So it starts off my Inquisitor, Kara, is going off to fight a boss towards the end of the game. But it is not any of the bosses in the actual game. Like some kind of super Templar or something. But one who was not neccessarily a Red Templar, he at least looked regular. But he was totally able to wipe the floor with all of us. He was so hard to beat and I was really fighting for my life to stay ahead of the guy and keep my people alive. I think one of them I had to revive was Varric. But eventually it just came down to him and Kara, our two health bars were racing one another to their final death, I got his down, and ten it flipped to a scene. Where essentially the guy explained he could not beat me, but I was weak, or something, and then a dialog wheel popped up with a bunch of no-win options. The Templar in question then proceeded to possess my Inquisitor and a game over scene popped up. A brief epilogue of all the characters popped up but the only one I remember was essentially Kara, he posssed her and was able to control her for a time but she was stubbourn and was able to resist him and throw him out, not at great price though where she died a year later.
I remember applauding BioWare for the creativity and well written ness of the game, that they had added this in here post release, as wel as being really mad, but it did allow me the option to reload so I was determined to not let this happen again.
Then the dream got weird. I did not want to stop playing the game though and beat him. But I remember battling dinosaurs, actua dinosaurs, in the DA combat system. And then I was able to defeat him by summoning a large army of weird mutant human things which laid siege to the castle. Then Kara and co were in a castle, where two characters started beat boxing over an intercom...I think Samwell Tarley was involved. And then... I was woken up. But this was the best nightmare I have ever had. And that is saying something.
My kind of thread.
I've only ever had a Dragon Age dream once but it was WILD and SILLY from start to finish. What did I ever do to you to make you want to kill me, Solas, except love you? ;_;
I was in the game, as myself, not the Inquisitor, in what appeared to be a strange version of the Temple of Mythal (weird building in a jungle setting). With me were Varric, Cassandra and Leliana. The dream started as a sort of cut scene, showing Leliana opening a blue door to emerge from one of the upper levels of the temple. There were stairs close by and at the bottom was an Eluvian - that was our goal apparently, but just as we were about to exit the building and descent down the stairs, the Eluvian started glowing, and Leliana quickly rushed us back inside and closed the blue door.
Out of the Eluvian stepped Morrigan, wearing her gorgeous Winter Palace dress. She hadn’t seen us yet.
The ‘cut scene’ ended and suddenly I was viewing things through my own eyes, and my mission was to follow Morrigan without her seeing me. She walked this dirt path along the length of the temple, passing first one hallway leading back inside, and two more further ahead. The last one had an open portcullis, which closed behind her as she entered. Right after the portcullis the hallway curved to the right, and there was also a staircase leading back up to a hallway above it, which followed the same curve.
I had to do this sort puzzle involving a lever and some Assassin’s Creed style free-running to open the portcullis, so I could follow her, which I did. But instead of following after her I turned back around to get Leliana and the others - who were still near the Eluvian waiting - so I ran back.
Unfortunately I had forgotten that Solas was scripted to appear from the first hallway the moment I solved the puzzle and opened the portcullis, and he was NOT allowed to see me because he would kill me if I did. And I nearly ran right into him.
Because Solas was now between me and my party, I had no choice but to run back, passing the last hallway with the portcullis and hide there behind a wall. I knew he was supposed to walk the same path Morrigan had taken so I figured, once he had entered the hallway with the portcullis, I could get the others and follow after them both.
And that’s when Solas suddenly rounded the corner and stopped a few feet away from me! And I remember thinking “He can’t see me, I’m holding down the sneak button! D:” He looked right at me at that moment and I saw his foot (he was wearing boots, despite wearing his hobo clothes) fly towards me and I actually got a game-over screen - Solas had kicked in my face and killed me in one hit.
I respawned right after I managed to open the portcullis, seconds before Solas was supposed to emerge from the first hallway. I didn’t want to get booted in the face again, so this time I entered the third hallway with the portcullis and ran up the stairs to where the hall curved to wait there for him.
There is this thing I do in games in real life, when there is an interesting villain I have to fight, I try to avoid fighting them for as long as possible, running around in circles to avoid their attacks and see how long I can last.
In the dream I had this really shitty bow with me, so I got the brilliant idea to shoot Solas in the face to aggro him the second he showed himself, and see how long I could last against him! Genius!
Except he wouldn’t show. There was a hole in the floor close by, so I looked, and I saw him passing underneath the portcullis, but he didn’t take the stairs like I had, but instead took the curved hallway directly below me. So I did the next best thing, dropped myself through the hole, landed right in front of him and fired an arrow! Of course my aim was way off, but I succeeded in pissing him off nonetheless.
I don’t remember what he said exactly, but the gist of it was “You have until the count of five before I set your ass on fire.” after which he started doing a sloooow count down. That was my cue to start running in circles to avoid what I was sure was going to be a fireball lobbed at my face - and I managed to get myself hopelessly stuck in some bushes for a panicked second too because I’m an idiot (I guess I was glitching??). Of course Solas wouldn’t be Solas if he didn’t do the unexpected, so instead of a fireball he cast a fire glyph, the ones mages in the game often cast on the ground to explode.
Except this fire glyph - because Solas magic - formed underneath my feet to follow wherever I went, and started out as a small circle, sloooowly expanding, and I knew that when it reached full size, it would explode.
Cue me panicking and running all the way back to where Leliana, Cassandra and Varric were still waiting near the Eluvian, while seeing this glyph slowly grow in size and power - I figured they could help me annul it or something. Instead, when I reached them, all they had to say were generic NPC lines! Not helpful at all!
I turned around and saw both Solas and Morrigan running away me - I dunno why they came back, but I chased after them. If I could just get to Solas before it was too late and plead with him to remove the glyph, then yeah… they ran up a hill, don’t even ask me how Morrigan was running in that dress. I tried to follow but the hill was too steep and I slipped back down… and then the glyph reached full power, exploded and I woke up.
IT WAS AWESOME.
