Curious if the vault is down? I can't get the page to load, been trying since yesterday.

Works fine for me. The site to use is, as I've said before, Down for Everyone or Just Me (it does what it says on the tin) then you'll know for sure.

Your account looks good. Are you timing out when attempting to get to the site or do you receive a specific message?

My only guess is too many attempted password failures in a specific amount of time may have flagged your IP as brute force attempts.

I've asked the system admin to check the IP you were on during the above password reset e-mail request.

Yes I've went into the vault before and recreated my account, since I forgot my user and pwd.

 

So today I tried to use IE instead of Firefox, and of course it seems it works on IE. Which is really weird because I was using it on Firefox the other times I've been trying to login..

Actually it works way better on Firefox. I finally had to abandon IE because of issues with the Vault and other Drupal sites.

Wen this happen to me I call ISP.  Sometime they give msg that say they have trouble in network they own.  If no msg, I tell tech which site not load right and they try.  I am thinking NWVault on West coast usa so maybe check ur ping to see if it going thru right.

It's most likely timing out because again the logs show DM-Taino attempting passwords and failing too quickly in a matter of seconds.

The site takes it as a brute force attack and bans your IP on the server level.

I'll have to get the IP unbanned again.

If you cannot remember your password, use the reset password feature, then follow the instructions in the e-mail. Use your browser to then remember your login and password information for future visits.

Also, you don't need to login to download content. An account is only required if you want to post, vote or create a project.

I try the reset password but I never receive a password reset email. In turn is why I tried back to back.

Mails from the vault can end up in spam folder or may be banned from even entering inbox.. seems like we have been blacklisted (probably due to notification system, which can be abused by users to get message for every project update if they click it).

If any of you don't get emails contact you email domain provider to whitelist us

This happened me today as well. I forgot my password and tried like 10 different passwords... now I can't get on the site at all.

Someone with more knowledge on the sensitivity of password failure that becomes IP blocked will be looking into this.
