I  don't know how to put a vid on my profile, any pointers!?

I'm honestly not sure if the profiles are set up for video tags, as I've never tried. I know you can use image tags on your profile, so you can give it a try and see if it works for videos, too.

 

For YooToob videos, use the following (without asterisks.)

 

[*youtube]video.url[*/youtube]

 

Copy the vido url between the tags.

 

For other videos, try:

 

[*media]video.url[/*/media] or [*flash]video.url[*/flash]

 

If profiles aren't set up for those tags, you won't be able to hotlink the video on your profile (although you can link it in your signature using 'url' tags.)

You'll have to use an url link, instead. It doesn't look as cool, but it works in signatures and on profiles.

 

Same basic idea as before, but remove the asterisks.

 

[*url=video.url]You can type whatever you want here.[*/url]

 

It ends up looking like this.

 

People will recognize the hotlink for what it is. Obviously it looks better when it is embedded, but I think they have the forum set so that embedding videos is only possible in forum posts.
