I have a N7 mouse, mousepad, some T-shirts, jacket, pins, key chain and some other stuff. Really getting my moneys worth if the N7 thing stays alive.

Much as I'll enjoy continued relevance for my N7 hoodie, this is actually part of why I'd rather our new protagonist got their own unique symbol/logo: think of the cool new merch possibilities!

Mabbe they'll just go all-in on the ARKCON thing.

I wish that Shepard's evil clone survived, was rehabilitated and tasked with the mision to Andromeda lmao.

I wish in the citadel dlc we heard a newscast saying that Shepard is dead again. But it is actually his dead clone.

Perhaps the protagonist can wear a pair of pyjamas on the ship?

(in beige...)  :P

I'd definitely rather have logo-less armors. Whatever rank you are shouldn't really even matter in Andromeda.

This is broadly unrelated, but:

I really like the way they seem to be leaning into old-fashioned astronaut 'bubble' helmets for the armour in Andromeda. It fits with the whole, 'We are explorers' thing, aesthetically, and - more importantly - it'll let us see the characters' faces emoting in conversations even while fully suited-up. It's just a nicely thought out solution to that whole problem, and hopefully indicates that we won't have any companions wandering around with just breathing masks, like in ME2 and 3. (Yeah, I know you can head-canon it with kinetic barriers - I did, 'cause years of watching Star Trek has left me well-equipped to justify lore inconsistencies more or less instinctively - but it still just didn't look right to me.)

I imagine a fair few people will want opaque helmets, though, so they should probably be in there--I'd just rather we didn't take stat penalties for not using them. Transparent aluminium, and all that.

So the N7 armor is at this point a part of the Shepard character.  It just seems lame that our new character is going to be in the same old generic black N7 armor as Shepard.

Just please give us options.

I'm really curious to see why the trip to Andromeda IS an N7 mission, but I digress...

Maybe the armor options are being short-suited (ahem) so that more effort could be put into hair, romance and sexual identity options. Lol.

Obviously BW isn't going to show off any of the cool new stuff. Hopefully E3 '16 will be more revealing, but I doubt it. I'd rather be amazed when I start the game, and not complain about the lack of information before it arrives in 2017. I don't want any of the fun spoiled beforehand.

I really liked the line said by S.R. Haddon in the movie Contact (1997):

" First rule in government spending: why build one when you can have two at twice the price? Only, this one can be kept secret. Controlled by Americans, built by the Japanese subcontractors. Who, also, happen to be, recently acquired, wholly-owned subsidiaries of..."

I don't know if there is any plausibility to the notion that TIM may have decided to make a second resurrected Shepard, just in case... and this one went on the Ark (Separated twins?) as plan B: Go get us / recruit more help, because I don't trust the Alliance and the Citadel Council no matter what they do! But it sure seems more plausible than the 'immaculate child of Shepard' notion. He had all the cells from Shepard he needed to make more for alternate purposes. There's a whole lot that TIM didn't tell Shepard. Q. Would anyone like this kind of lore or even accept it?

Q. Has anyone ever started a thread on what we DO KNOW (for certain) about what else the Alliance did, or even TIM, during the two year absence of Shepard?

nah. There are some theories that I understand but the rest are hard to stomach. Like the indoc theory. Despite the ex cut people still believe. It's silly to me. Then again so is the amount of people placing their hopes on a fool as their leader. I'll let you fill in the blanks for that one.

I think there should be an option to use other decals on the armor outside of the N7 decal if we want.  It would have been nice in ME 3 if we could have swapped out the N7 decal for an alliance or spectre decal.
