Valiant DPS is higher, so Valiant has better boss TTK (All that matters on Gold/Plat).

If I can reliably headshot on console, you PC people who keep claiming that it is easier to headshot on PC should be able to do it constantly.

I always thought that it was generally accepted that the Valiant was noob-friendly, while the Black Widow had the intangibles players in Gold and Platinum want.

 

Either way, DPS is a theoretical construct that never actually happens, so it makes a very poor basis for an argument that involves far more factors than just damage on paper.

Yeah bolt action SR have their own fun factor but I like Javelin moooaaaar than Widow. Dubstep bip boop FTW. Don't get me wrong I liked and used Widow for a time though in multiplayer demo. But now Jav and BW are my fav and most preferred SR.

I agree, bolt action snipers are my personal favorite weapon category in shooters. Now while some might call them inefficient, I'd like to think of them as having an old school charm and they're really really satisfying to use if you get good with them.

No weapon in whole game other than Javelin can wub wub bip boop dubstep and I think we both know yesterday's games were anything but a fair chance considering those multiple epic breakdown of space-hamsters in-charge that were running the internet.

Sorry I can't approve of that time. It's too late or way too early. It's somewhere around 4-6 am for me in the morning. I prefer something in 5-8pm (British summer time) also central location between mine (Asia) and SMR (I am assuming Canada or USA) is somewhere in Europe. I prefer if host is from UK or Paris or Netherlands. Have to play a few test run with that player's host to see if it doesn't lag or cause major rubberbanding. Also I have a suggestion. Host shouldn't stream on twitch. A 4th volus player should join and he should stream and record. So host PC and internet isn't overloaded and cause lag and related problems.

 

As far as date is concerned. Lets just go with Soon™ for now. I have to take care of some stuff meanwhile the previous thunderdomes in queue can be played.

If you had to fight with no ammo or rail amps it might be more interesting against gold+ humanoid heavy waves.

 

The comparison between the two was a lot more interesting before super ammos and the gigantic Black Widow buff.

IMO, which gun is better all depends on the setup and player skill.

 

The thing about the Valiant is that you can set it up with Incendiary/AP/Warp ammo to max its armor damage, and it doesn't really become much worse against mooks.  If you're getting headshots all the time, you will still 2SK just about everything.  I don't get headshots all the time, so this isn't great for me.

 

The BW as a 2SK gun is not a great weapon, but if you can set it up to OSK most mooks (e.g., with Phasic ammo), it's in a league of its own.
