Can't approve or disapprove till I have checked his ping to mine.

LMAO! You haven't been here in the old days, have you? There is no ping to Reggion's host, you can't ping the moon

I don't think Techno's offer was serious. This is our internet

Damn, that's even worse than mine... And that's saying something!

She said "equally bad for everyone", I believe she was serious, and I would love to see a thunderdome that laggy.

It could work for games like ME3 as long as ping remains stable. Certainly better than the 300-400ms ping I get when joining hosts located in USofA. During 1200+ hrs I have been playing ME3MP I have came to a conclusion that high ping isn't as bad as unstable ping. 200-250ms with <5ms jitter will provide a better gameplay experience than 100-150ms ping with a jitter of 50-100ms. That will cause major major rubberbanding throughout the match and all other sort of problems like guns not reloading full clip, phantoms banshees dragging you halfway across the map for synckills and rocket troopers firing two three rockets volley instead of just one.

There's all the proof I needed that you are full of BS. Rocket Trooper volley is not tied to ping.

No, it actually doesn't, because the connection to the EA servers can't be maintained, if it's even possible to connect in the first place. I can't play the game when my internet acts up like that.

Tupari's trollin anyway, normally our connection is decent.  (or as decent as any mediocre american ISP gets). It's just sometimes we get throttled for unknown reasons and things get ugly.

N7 Valiant X is a great gun but Black Widow X is the best sniper rifle in the game.

1. Black Widow X

2. Javelin X

3. N7 Valiant X

Almost every-time I faced a single rocket trooper firing multiple rockets at once the game was much more laggier than it usually is and most of the times unstable ping is what causes lag. If you know for a fact that it's not tied to ping then post what exactly causes it else quit trolling. Really getting tired of SMR troll club now.

That is a really good connection speed though. May I know the cost you guys pay for it per month. Just for comparison purpose.

I have never been double tripple tapped by rocket troopers when I host. Only time I have faced this problem was when I wasn't the host and game was lagging badly.

the doublle/triple tap is a problem with the rocket cheaters' AI itself, it doesn't rely on lag to happen. Tho I wouldn't exclude that it might be nastier with lag. Everything does.

Here's €10/month (That's like $14) if you complain enough:

5279682825.png

That's basically the average, so was a good time to test. At night, it's usually 40down/25up, and in the evenings, it's not usable (Apparently there are three towers coming online over the next two months, so they should help improve the overloading we sometimes experience).

Interesting. If it isn't caused exclusively by lag then maybe something to do with frame-rate or some incompatible mod etc? Maybe a bug caused by some specific game version. It happens very rarely though so it definitely needs more testing esp by Salarian Scientists :P

It's similar to the Volus cloak, in that troopers have a separate cooldown for firing rockets in cover and firing while standing. This combines with unknowable code from the abyss to create situations where it is allowed to fire two or even three times in a row.

We pay $50USD/month. Normally it would be about  $80-100.00 USD/mo but I complained a whole fuckload and got a rebate. #firstworldproblems and all but it's a pretty unstable, mediocre service, like right now it's kind of sitting around 10 down 5 up, which is still pretty usable but not even remotely what I am paying for even with the rebate.

Happens on PS3 a lot. Mostly whilst Rocket Troopers are in or near cover. My own theory is that it is related to the charged weapon release thing that Hunters (and Players) can exploit.

Thanks for explaining it in detail. That separate cooldown in cover and out of cover combined with lag would be the most probably cause of three rockets at once. I have had the unfortunate firsthand experience of facing it in a pug gold game. :D

That connection speed I mean 100mbps down and 25mbps up costs like equivalent of 250 USD/month over here. I pay like 50 USD/month for a 12mbps down 3mbps up but it does remain stable mostly. Speed does get low sometimes but mostly it gives 9-10.5mbps down and 2.7-2.9mbps up.

You didn't there in that gif. You got blasted by two separate rocket troopers. If you had the original source yet you could probably slow it down enough to see the first rocket came from below the ramp a little easier.

There were two rocket troopers but they fired total of six rockets in less than 9 seconds.

PS. Tower = Radio Technology = Jitter for LTE can vary from 150ms to 350ms over 100s. Even 6 Towers will not remove them jitter.

Agreed. My cellphone's 4G internet is very unstable. Pings jump by that amount in a fraction of a second. But VDSL has little to no jitter compared to it.

Also pingtestdotnet can be quite useful in testing ping stability and packet loss of a connection. It's also owned by same company that operates speedtestdotnet.
