It doesn't cuz I don't play any other online games.

Actually,   ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is a lie. I have played the gears 3's horde mode and I really liked it...it was very limited with having like, 3 maps.......but I really enjoyed playing as that auzzie chick.   Years ago, I played the assassins creed MP and I really liked that.  I gave tomb raiders MP a try...but it was kinda boring.  I really wanted to give batman arkham origins MP a shot...but I found out nobody plays it. I would have been playing diablo 3 online..but I dont understand how to even start or join a pug on xbox.

Arkham Origins MP... played it once. :P I was Batman, and I dropped down behind a thug completely silently, who promptly shot me in the face and I died like instantaneously. I was like "dude, I'm Batman. That isn't allowed". :P Could never find a single game after that.

I felt like gears 3 was significantly worse than gears 2 for coop. It didn't feel right. But I also through 51 waves for gears was ridiculous, I stayed up till 4AM to have a buddy quit on wave 49. ME3 MP is shameless ripped from Gears 2, even named horde mode. But it seems like a much better horde mode, but I felt like the gears maps were better.

My first multiplayer game ever was Burnout Revenge on the PS2, and Star Wars Battlefront II. Didn't multiplayer much back then. Then I got a PS3 and it was MW2, GTA IV, Battlefield 3 etc. Then I discovered ME3MP and went nuts about how awesome it was. ME3 is my most played game ever. Then SWBF2. Then Skyrim, then ME2 and then Fallout 4.

Awesome game. Was another of those serieses that started mediocre with a lot of good ideas, got awesome, then had so many bad ideas trying to complicate the thing, which just made it less fun.

Burnout Revenge was a fantastic game. Absolutely brilliant. XD The Burnouts before it were... okay. And Burnout Dominator was alright but not up to Revenge's standard. I spent many years playing that game. :P

1 was... bad. 2 was ok, 3 was good, revenge was amazing, dominator was junk.

Dominator had alright music though, so it made up for it. :P

I remember racing my friend splitscreen on White Mountain more than anything else. That was a great track.

Not only that, but it was highly amusing when you went and fell through the road and reached like 500mph.

My general tactic was to just crash on every corner and wait until opponents came past and then explode like just a great amount and keep doing it over and over and over again until I was in first. I used to be able to take every racer out in one explosion XD

White Mountain was easiest for racing. Silverlake was easiest for Road Rage. I used to like Eternal City, because most people couldn't handle it ;)

Actually I'm getting DS3 for pc this time. Honestly I would've preferred the ps4 as my platform of choice but unfortunately I neither have the time nor the setting required to get a ps4, so pc it is for now.

I haven't yet been able to play it much myself since unfortunately I tried to get it off an online vendor and it's been delayed over and over again.( :crying:  :crying: ) But I'll get it soon enough. I did play a bit of it over at my friends place though and it looks amazing and feels it too.

What version did you get btw?

Objectively ME3MP is nothing more than 5 out of 10. It's not a game you can just pick up and play. Nothing really is explained to the player (the tips rather confuse you) It doesn't explain how sync-kills work, weapon stats in bars are complete BS and in "reality" they can perform completely differently. The game is buggy as all hell (not even counting the game breaking freezes, crashes, loss of sound) Entire factions like Geth are glitched in one way or another. Unlocking weapons takes ages and often players take up to 1000 hours to max out a manifest. In 1000 hours I could complete entire ME SP trilogy probably 10 times from start to finish with all DLC and doing all the missions and listening to all dialogue without skipping a thing.

You really need read the forums or watch a ton of videos by people who read the forums to have in-dept knowledge of the game mechanics. Which is not how it should be.

A game which is simple to understand wouldn't have lasted this long in terms of a community.

Part of what makes ME3MP special is the fact that you need to figure it out. You need to try weapons, builds and hell even walking up to a Banshee if you like in order to get an idea of the game mechanics.

Plus, I thought it was great the first time I was sync killed by a Banshee. :P I was like "Wow that's like such a violent way to die. That's great XD".

Simple to understand doesn't mean it can't be complex too. There are quite a few strategy and RPG games that are easy to pick up and play right away, but offer vast amounts of complexity and possible outcomes (and they have a cult following lasting for 10+ years)

It's the second best online game i ever played after the Mechwarrior 4 series, customization they both have in common.

Most new shooters that i am supposed to be impressed by have not evolved allot in years

Brought to you by regular Spectre pack;

I just unlocked this kit yesterday and was super excited. Unfortunately when I went to select Nic Cage the game was telling me I needed the Con Air DLC.

Not bad other than having to put up with turians and quarians.  The inferior weaker species.

Penguins are right behind the quarians and turians.  Not quite as bad as them, a bit braver perhaps but far behind the volus.

Pfft. The only things Volus are good for is money laundering and using as a giant bowling ball. Don't give a **** about Turians but penguins are the obvious master race. :P Quarians come in second.

I won't play the new Battlefront. All DICE had to do was copy the old one but make everything better and add more maps, a multiplayer mode like the old one before the servers were shut down and maybe change the campaign a little so it's not identical. That's all they had to do. But while I do want to support the empire in its campaign, I'm not going to spend money on a barely complete game when the older ones are infinitely better, and can run on my PC.

So....you feel qualified to compare two things and declare one "infinitely better"....even though you haven't even played one of the two things you are comparing to form a decent opinion?

Don't do it quarian.......don't give in to the dark si.....ahh to hell with it.

I can honestly say as someone who did play both, that if the new game's multiplayer were as clunky as that in the old ones, I wouldn't have played it for more than 10 minutes. I probably would've been incapable of playing it for 10 minutes anyway, because I'd have long since disconnected, of course after a few minutes of rubber banding all over a barren, flat, wide open wasteland of a map playing dodge the rocket with 12 other players, who likewise all picked the same broken anti vehicle class to shoot RPGs at each others' feet, because screw lazors, nothing says "Star Wars" like space bazooka fights.

Now, blatant PvP balancing issues aside, they were fun games for slaughtering the most hysterically, laughably incompetent AI bots in videogame history in a huge number of ways, assuming said bots didn't manage to get stuck in a wall or kill themselves with a plane, speeder, or explosive first (I mean really, you humans are never going to be able to get a proper robo rebellion going with the way your feeble attempts at AI are going). Or, for just playing Star Wars themed co-op with your siblings or friends or whatever, but in hindsight they didn't really play well at all in terms of mechanics, and beating mindless bots over and over got really repetitive really fast. Speaking of barely complete, let's not forget that Battlefront 2 was basically a DLC reskin of the first game that they sold for $60 exactly one year later, not unlike modern CoD games. No, it literally reused 80% of the maps and assets from the first game, a level of lazy ripoff that even CoD doesn't attempt to emulate. This was done because it was 2005, and a cash in on Revenge of the Sith was needed.

I had tons of fun with the old Battlefronts, but at the same time really don't get the nostalgia for them. They were in no way groundbreaking, and resultingly, they were getting only decent scores from critical reviewers back in the mid 2000's who were describing basically the same issues I just did
http://www.gamespot....w/1900-6137213/
and they have aged pretty poorly since.

The new one is little different, i.e. it's a good (but not great) game that rides on the coattails of the Star Wars name (and a revival of the franchise) for its success. That said, it at least is designed well and works properly in a PvP setting, and is innovative and standout in at least one thing; the photogrammetry technique they used to make the maps and models, which results in it looking as amazing as it does graphically. Oh and it has barely anything from the Prequels, so I can continue on in my own little world where those horrendously acted, nonsensically plotted CGI diarrhea explosions from the bowels of George Lucas's brain damaged version of a universe that other, more talented people created for him, never existed to irrevocably and forever taint the franchise.
