^^^^^^^ Just from that amazing drawing...I now know for a fact, that the new ghostbuster movie is doomed.
It' been doomed since Harold Ramis passed. Girlbusters was the coup de grace.

"there were always someone standing in the wrong place or missing to pass on the plague"
So much this. All day erry day. I hated 25HICC. Our guild went through a weeding process and came out with a solid bunch for 10m. We partnered with 2-3 different guilds for HICC25 and some of em were terrible. (And these nominally were the best the guilds were offering.)
Agree with Sindy too. 10m was so different, once you had a competent few you could 6 man her with 4 carries without too much hassle. Just worked differently in 25.
I have searched for alternatives, too.
- My first attempt at leaving ME3MP happened when Titanfall came along, early 2014. Lots of hype and expectations. However, that game lasted only 66 hours for me. I couldn't stand the absence of loot progression. There was no 'Manifest' to be 'Maxed'. Weapons were very balanced, so much so that entry-level weapons and higher level weapons felt just as powerful. There is a 'Prestige' thing that gives you a tiny comestic reward, but that is about it.
The gameplay and controls were pristine. Plot was virtually non-existing. Overall it was a lackluster experience.
- My second attempt took place with Bioware's DAMP (Dragon Age Inquisition), a game which I played for over 3,000 hours. Well, it is fair to say this game did get some stuff right, at least to me.
Lots of loot. Heavy focus on Loot. A RNG Store several times worse than ME3's one. A promotion system similar to ME3's one, but guess what? Promotions make you more powerful! All in all, DAMP is a heavy-grind feast, but that is what I needed from a game at the time, I suppose. I played it so much that I even got to be #1 on PC Leaderboards for some time. I was also pretty involved with the BSN DAMP community (which is a fraction of the size of ME3's one). Nevertheless, support for this game didn't last for long enough. Today the grind for loot and promotions necessary to play at the higher difficult settings make the game prohibitive for newcomers. Not worth it.
- My third attempt at leaving ME3MP will take place next week, when Blizzard's Overwatch Open Beta comes out. I intend to get into that game and possibly remain there until the next Mass Effect comes out.
In the meantime I have played several single-played/co-op games, such as: Dead Space trilogy, Saints Row series, Dead Island, Borderlands 1 and 2 (I know they are MP, but I played as a SP) and Fallout 4. Every now and then I play some Diablo 3, but this game feels too lackluster to keep me playing for more than two days in a row.
I have been waiting for Destiny to come to PC, since it kinda looks like ME3 somehow. However, it looks like that is never happening. I hope Overwatch lives up to the hype.

I played Destiny in the Beta, didn't care for it. Though it must be doing something right, because out of all the friends I have who jumped off the ME3MP boat to play Destiny instead, only one of them ever came back to say he still prefers ME3MP.
I couldn't do much of a direct comparison between something like game features or etc, since the only MPs I've really played have been different mods for Half-Life 1 and 2. Mainly Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat (both originals and source versions), but also some more obscure and less popular ones like The Spesialists, Vampire Slayer, Pirates, Vikings, and Knights, Battle Grounds and couple others. Too much apples and oranges situation with almost everything.
However, if I compare the experience, in those HL mods the highs were higher, but lows most definitely were lower as well. ME3 MP has never given me that type of an excitement or suspense like an evenly matched clan match did. Neither did it ever challenged me in that manner, nor got my blood flowing, or made me to be at the edge in similar way. There's an upside to that, as I've never felt like I was missing anything, even if I didn't dedicate that much time or effort playing ME3 and overall it's much more enjoyable as a more casual game (I am not a teenager anymore, so I doubt that I could find the time or interest to play online like I did back then).
Also a community wänk* in those mods could be really toxic, stupid and vulgar or even borderline harassment. Nothing in MP3 community has came anywhere close and that's a huge plus.
*Cunning wordplay inspired by necessary and infallible BSN censorship. Plz keep up with saving us from ourselves.
Sorry for getting off topic guys. I'm passionate about what this series once was.
I'm glad you did. It feels good reading that stuff. R.I.P.
So does the name Oni64 ring a bell or is that just someone else?
ayy lmao

*sigh - DAIMP
I awaited this game like disciples long for the Messiah.
Never been so torn and yet overall unsatisfied with something.
I told myself it was the unacceptable loot system and RNG store (God! - how badly can something suck ??)
Or the fact that players only were guinea pigs in a giant bug experiment -
and there was no feedback from the developers in the forums (during earlier stages of the game).
But now I know that probably it was the gameplay itself that drove me away:
playing the same tube-level over and over again - just to have that small chance
to receive the reward you want - just to be disappointed at the sight of another duplicate !
And what are you doing during these (duplicate) farm runs? press buttons !!! That's right. there is no aiming - no finesse.
You always know from which direction the enemies will come.
I have been playing Mass effect while having a maxed manifest for about 1000 hours now. Such thing would be unthinkable in DAIMP.
The mere thought of going into these tube levels while having the best possible gear already (and without promotions) makes me laugh hysterically ![]()
I've spent the most time playing i compared to other online MPs, but considering how much time I spent in the first year grinding out a manifest on the PS3 and enduring crashes and resets and lost progress, I wouldn't exactly say all the hours I've spent playing it have been time well spent.
You know. I've played since the beta, on PS3 and eventually PC. Techno played SP on release, but didn't touch MP until February 2013. I think Erik started some time in 2014, but I'm not sure.

Around February 2013 is around when I started too. Since that's my forum join date.
Fuse.
Has anyone else here played Fuse before? It's really dope. They actually have biotic weapons as well....a Warp assault rifle that when enough bullets are fired..can open up a singularity...plus it's an almost identical 3rd person cover shooter......it can be played on 4 person co-op campaign..or a 4 person co-op horde mode...it also was made by EA.
Do you guys even...praise the sun?
\[+]/ \[+]/ \[+]/
Too relevant:

Although I've been praising the Abyss lately and been enjoying being a Darkwraith. Sunbro forgive me pls.

I played it. I like it a lot. Just very little replayability. As long as someone good is playing the redhead you are golden.
Pfft. The only things Volus are good for is money laundering and using as a giant bowling ball. Don't give a **** about Turians but penguins are the obvious master race.
Quarians come in second.
It's been a while since I've seen any Pokémon episodes, but I'm pretty sure that Volus is the evolved form of Penguin.
That's an awful thing to say. How dare you compare the majestic penguin to the shitty Volus? Racist.

Implying Volus are terrible. All you Earth-Clan are racist!

Stop being racist while calling me racist for being racist while calling someone racist who was being racist. Racist. ![]()

As long as you don't gank as a sunbro, you're golden in my book. Then again I like facing ganks so I wouldn't mind too much.
Also dickwraiths Ftw! To quote our buddy Titchy Gren "You want to be drenched in blood, mired in its foul stench. Am I right? Am I?"

Never tried Borderlands series before, and I noticed that I greatly prefer the general structure of its co-op game 'progress' over ME3 (not that there is such a thing as 'progress' in an ME3MP match). The ME3MP confined arena survival crap is lame. With Borderlands you get to actually play the game and at least have some experiences. Plus BL1 & BL2 allow for local co-op play...which is even better.

So does the name Oni64 ring a bell or is that just someone else?
Spoiler
Someone else. My main was Onishiro with other names like ._Temperance_. One&Oni and Dr.Kazz
Edit: Yo! I didn't realize Streetlife was a Socrackhead. Even Wu-Tang affiliates got it. Crazy.
