In Canada, a sure sign of spring is the nest of a Canada goose. BioWare Edmonton is often visited by a couple of geese in the spring; for a few days, Twitter is awash with pictures of our favorite visitors. This year, the cheeky pair have chosen the roof of the BioWare Edmonton studio for their nest.

Ganders, the female, sits on her nest atop the studio, patiently incubating her eggs while her hubby the Arishonk protects the nest from a distance. How many eggs did Ganders lay? When will they hatch? Do geese like Mass Effect? From 1-10, how cute is a baby goose? To satisfy our desperate need to answer these questions, we’ve set up the BioWare Goose Cam, which will monitor Ganders 24/7 as she tends to her nest. We hope you watch it too.

Love the names - Ganders for a female while a male goose is a gander, but a nod to Anders and, Arishonk LOL cute Bioware. Will we get to vote on gosling names or, maybe even suggest them when those things hatch in a few weeks?

Not sure if it's just me but I think the Canada Goose population is booming, more and more of them setting up shop in Edmonton.  I have two of them on the building that I work on as well.   They are getting less picky about nesting locations, they are all over the place.

I have to say watching a goose listening to the Alexius theme is pretty epic , it feels like Ganders (if this is her) is nesting and ready to launch her evil plan to take over the world with an army of geese.

Yes, Ganders is the one that sits on the nest. They say Arishonk is perched somewhere off camera watching over and protecting the nesting site, though he shows up occasionally.
