I'm still lamenting the fact I can't romance Nathaniel...what can I say, he grew on me

If I could romance him, he'd be my number one romance in Origins, sharing with Zevran

 

I'm making my current Warden romance Zevran, also because I feel his romance has a 'happy ending' feel to it, since he and the Warden still travel together by the time of Inquisition

 

As for my Morrigan romance...I'm dubbing between either an Amell or Cousland as father for Kieran, not sure yet though

First I'm going to finish my City Elf playthrough ^-^

Nathaniel is like .... the only guy I would be happy romancing. lol. It's usually not my thing. Even when I do it, I hate the characters (like my canon Hawke hooked up with Anders...then gave him the death he wanted).

I agree, a Nathaniel romance would've made me wait to romance anyone in DAO (including Alistair) for him... And my first Hawke did that.. She sided with the Templars while romancing a friendship Anders. She'd have killed him too.

Mine still sided with the mages. He just forced her hand.. and she wasn't going to punish other mages for his sorry ass.

*sigh* at least I can have my headcanon of Nathaniel sweeping my Warden of her feet (one of the few head canons I have)

 

That's another part where I always struggle about...to kill Anders or not

my last DA2 playthrough I had him as my rival (with some cheating, he's way to easy to befriend if I make Carver a Warden), and I had my Hawke kill him

but...I'm always struggling as to if he needs to die or not ^^;

Mine also made Carver a Warden... this is kind of what won her over at first. But it deteriorated.

I like Carver too. I suppose either Warden or Templar. I just made him a Warden because my other Warden is dead. I feel like.... keeping him alive keeps a Warden in my story alive too. I keep killing the others.

I personally prefer Carver as a Warden

I like the little Easter egg where you can find a bottle with his name on it in Redcliffe during Inquisition if you made him (or Bethany) a Warden ^^

I have had Carver as a Templar on one of my runs, but Carver as a Grey Warden feels more grown up in my opinion ^^

Its true... but grown up Carver is more boring...   (I's almost Bethany...)

 

 

Although warden Carver have a good scene. When he blamed Hawke for he had become warden ... But warden Carver more sad. He have sickness. Templar Carver are healthy, and happy.

I prefer Carver over Bethany, he reminds me of my own brother (only difference is that I'm the younger sibling ^^; )...the type you want to strangle at one point and pat on the head the next, yet also the kind you can't do without no matter what

 

I love the Sarcastic/Charming line when Stroud recruits Carver something along the lines of 'no pity needed, Carver also happens to be an excellent swordsman' It shows they really do care about one another, even if it takes something very drastic (like the blowing up of the Chantry) for him to see it

Bethany simple boring for me.

Yes. Carver like his brother/sister so much, just sometimes he are an a**hole. Likeable a**hole. And have some funny banter. Especially as templar, with Anders... (in the Legacy for example. My favorite party here: Fenris, Anders, Carver)

Carver is also so sweet when you first encounter Fenris 'if you have a problem with my brother/sister, you have a problem with ME'

first time he said that I was like 'aww, you do care, softy'

 

sadly I seem to have a bug on Carver's party banter in dlc's, where I only get the rivalry dialogues even when he's a full friend ^^;

I have some other bugs in my game as well (such as Cullen's codex entry not reflecting a female mage if I imported one), but I can life with most of them

So after some playing and some thinking as well, I've settled on four canon Wardens ^^

 

(The one I'm currently playing) Aisling Tabris, rogue (duelist + shadow), romancing Zevran

Iorwerth Cousland, warrior (templar + spirit warrior), romancing Morrigan

Minerva Amell, mage (shapeshifter + keeper (I head canon her as some type of druid-like character), romancing Alistair (later Nathaniel in head canon)

and lastly, Arenor Mahariel, rogue (bard + ranger), romancing Leliana

Hope you're having fun. I settled on CE like I said... my only problem now is that I suspect the next game will be a good CE game too. I might be tempted to try again, but I hate repeating myself.

 

I had a Dalish with Leliana once before too.. I like that too. Does yours warm up to her Andrastian beliefs?
