I would like to place the emphasis of this post on ingame music, casual chat with your teammembers and social events like in Citadel DLC.

Nothing touched me so deep in my history of gaming. Since 1995. I can now say that Mass Effect is the BEST game out there.

That brings up a topic about why in particular the Citadel DLC made me and practically everyone else feel that way.

1. Funny situations (Like Zaiid trying to get a plushy toy from the arcade machine or that Asari being neural shocked by that strategy game which Specialist Traynor won, "I SHOULD GO" etc)

2. Real ingame music. The one in your appartment which was mostly written by Junkie XL.

3. Casual dialogues with your teammates on that party which made you feel like they are really your friends. The feeling when they mention things which happened almost 8 years ago in Mass Effect 1. I cant even describe those emotions. It would be great to be able to talk to one of the characters for a lot longer. You can fill those dialogues with any topic you want. Just the ability to speak with someone of them makes the game feel A LOT more interesting.

4. Final scene after the party near the Normady where Shepard shows a bit of "weakness"

Yes, there were a phew people who managed to dislike the party part of the DLC as a way for social autists to escape reality but that only proves the point. We are playing games to be somebody else, to be able to do something more, to experience something we wouldnt be able to in real life.

After finishing ME3 the first time I didnt like the game much. It was another "Good game" which was standing out a bit. But that DLC made me change my mind and I started to expirience somekind of bonding to with my squadmates. That kind of relationship which sometimes even surpasses those in real life. I mean come on, do you have any friends with whom you were saving the galaxy for 8 years straight? I doubt that. I actually cried on the after party scene near the Normandy's docks. Most people did.

So right from the start, in hopes that some developers would care enough to read thru all this, I would like to tell that it would be great if not essential to focus on those 4 keypoints which i mentioned and improve them in any manifestations. I would like to elaborate more but its almost impossible since there are so many things to mention. I will try tho, in time.

All that history baggage which I experienced throughout all 3 parts of Mass Effect has made a *massive* impact on the perception of the game has led me to a great concern. How Mass Effect 4 (Mass Effect Andromeda) will be played without that attachment to your squadmates?

It will be new world with new people. Will we be able to see any consequences from Shepard's actions in it? For example like Miranda, Tali, Liara or whoever you romanced raising their children father to whom is Shepard. The list of consequences of Shepards actions can go on and on. I just think that it will be just unfair to start from a blank sheet of paper and include just a couple of mere echoes from the past. It would feel like everything you did was done in vain.

Feel free to bring your examples of things which can improve the impressiveness of the game.

I should go.

That's a lot of stuff in one post.

Welcome to the forums. We're slightly insane here.

Keep perusing the forums, much of what you've brought up here is being discussed in other threads.

Especially the thought about Shepard's children. Tread lightly..... that's a giant divisive topic here.

Again, welcome. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Now now,no need to scare away the new one at the start, let him/her get further in before s/he realisera the mistake.

OP: As Obliviousmiss said, most of this is in the forum already, you just need to look for it. And there is not much info about ME:A at all for the moment.

But welcome to the forum, have fun and watch for Trolls under the bridges.  :)

Thnx for the warm welcomes. Yeah, I was aware about all those topics being discussed somewhere but I figured that it will be another motive for the devs to take some additional effort in making those particular parts of the game better. If more people will say the same then the devs obviously will at least try to make us satisfied. If even a small bit of the game will be improved by my post then Il call it a day. Cos when there will be 10 people like me or a thousand then those improved "bits" will just multiply in quantity. At least I hope so. Cheers .

I was never really a fan of the Citadel DLC, particularly the party part. Don't get me wrong the Citadel DLC had some great scenes, but there was almost as much that ruined the game as made it better in that DLC. For example it made it impossible to roleplay my Shepards the way I wanted to and had been.

All that history baggage which I experienced throughout all 3 parts of Mass Effect has made a *massive* impact on the perception of the game has led me to a great concern. How Mass Effect 4 (Mass Effect Andromeda) will be played without that attachment to your squadmates?

It will be like Mass Effect 1 I imagine. There will be new characters you develop feelings for, positive and/or negative.

It will be new world with new people. Will we be able to see any consequences from Shepard's actions in it? For example like Miranda, Tali, Liara or whoever you romanced raising their children father to whom is Shepard. The list of consequences of Shepards actions can go on and on. It depends on when the sojourn to Andromeda starts. If they leave before or during the events of the Shepard Trilogy, then none or some of the choices could be reflected on. If they leave after, potentially all the decisions could be reflected on.

I can tell you right now that regardless, Shepard's children will not be one such thing because there are too many variables to account for. For example, in the list of names you mentioned two can't have children with Shepard, Tali because she is a different species and Miranda because she is barren. Even with the couples that can have children there are variables to account for like if one or both parents die in the trilogy, thus the child not being born.

Nobody said it was impossible for Tali having children from Shepard. I think I heared only Javik making a comment about their relationship "What a pointless exercise".

Tali is a humanoid after all so the devs can make up a simple excuse for her having children. As for Miranda, well, she lives in a space age with nanotechnology and robots being able to mimic bacteria to improve the immune system of Quarians. I think her being suddenly cured wont raise any questions. You dont question Asari's ability to "bond" right? And she is an another specie after all.

It is. Their DNA literally goes opposite ways of each other. Quarians have dextro-DNA while humans have levo-DNA.

Asari reproduce via parthenogenesis, which is an actual kind of reproduction. The bond part is space magic, but the rest is biologically possible.

I thought the Citadel DLC was cringeworthy, nothing but a blatant fan pandering by Bioware to "try" and appease the ending-haters. All those cliches and the line-dropping made it very uncomfortably facepalmous for me.

I was embarrassed by it. So the less we have of that in Andromeda, the better. How about content aimed to players older than 6 years old?

Ok, what about Tali "stealing" Shepards "sample" somewhere in the story to procreate in the future via slight genetic modification. As slight as just to fit the levo-DNA of  Quarians.

Pretty cool about   parthenogenesis , didnt know that.

There's no way to appease the entire fanbase with Shepard's child. My Shepard romanced Garrus, biologically impossible for them to have kids. Though they spoke about adopting a baby Krogan, so unless the protagonist of Mass Effect Andromeda is a Krogan, it wouldn't work for me. And Bioware have confirmed that your player is a human.

Shepard is also dead in my playthrough.....so....or at least thought to be. Garrus is on another planet.... as far as I know...

I would rather a clean slate, I don't need to know what happened to earth or any of the people from ME1-ME3. Sometimes a clean slate is best.

Try roleplaying a bit more. It helps. As far as facepalms... well, I didnt really aquire any outcomes where a facepalm would be apropriate. Linedroppings are fine but it would be great to make only 1% of the possible dialogue with a particular character to consist of those linedroppings.

There is a type of lizard that is entirely female and reproduces by parthenogenesis.

It's probably where they got the idea for some of the lore on the Asari. Our own world has plenty of weird stuff that works great as inspiration for Sci Fi or Fantasy writers.

I feel like Shepard's story arc is finished....along with all of the people they served with. If I want to relive those memories, I'll play ME1-ME3 over again.

4 years after ME3, I've made my peace that MEA will be a completely new story in a new place, it's clear Bioware wants to end the Shepard trilogy, I'm going to enjoy this new universe that is familiar, but all new at the same time!

Maybe the problem is that I finished ME3 just yesterday. And I just cant stop to want "MOAR". Every story is still very clear in my mind and I want it to be continued, badly. No doubt the new universe will be very interesting to explore. I just want to see something that was related to my personal Shepard in the new game. I think you want the same.

As much as I liked the sheer quantity of companion content, so much of it was cheesy as hell. Characters became caricatures of themselves, Wrex especially. And oh god Tali's singing.

Nah, I think they are letting everyone headcanon their own Shepard's happy ending, and I'm happy with that. I spoke about a familiar universe in a new setting, I mean like the lore of Mass Effect. Mass effect fields, Mass Relays, Omni tools, that kind of familiarity. The new experience will come from Andromeda and the new characters.

I remember feeling like how you feel.....a few fanfictions helped calm my "MOAR-ness."

I don't think they'll utilize our old saves into this new universe, though I could be wrong. So the likeliness of you seeing something related to your personal Shepard is very low.

I don't want to burst anybody's bubble, I'm just using the evidence from the Twitter feed, leaks, and trailers to form theories.
