They ban you for losing internet connection or CTD... Never heard of any other game that would ban you for reasons like that. Maybe I'm just ignorant... But if you are used to all the crashes and DCs in DAI, I have no idea how one might cope in Dark Souls.

 

Hmm, disconnected a few times & never had that, last I heard it was PC that was experiencing that & those guys that had either encountered hackers/modders, or were doing it themselves, little harsh for those that had just encountered them though.

Am I still enjoying myself or just addicted to the promotion grind?

I do still enjoy helping new players and recently took a 300 prestige player through Heartbreaker.

Admittedly I am still grinding out the Slayer challenge and that is what's driving me. So lots of soloing. It will be interesting to see how I feel when only the Banker challenge remains as that is NOT getting completed ever.

Still not seen a Hakkon drop from a dragon THIS YEAR !

Seems to be a lot of new players on Playstation 4 recently, which is encouraging.

People on BSN still rock.....even Gya.

Discovered Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), which is a welcome distraction and an awesome name for an actor.

Missing DragonRacer.

Watched all the Sherlock Holmes and paid for The Abominable Bride.  Amazing show.  Cannot wait for Season 4. 

 

Looking forward to the new Star Ocean as not sure how much longer I can keep playing this without some kind of enforced break similar to my DEC/JAN break.

Staff, Bow, 2 x Dagger from Book Chests.

1H and 2H from normal 2000 Gold Chests.

 

And after I got my last Descent weapon I haven't seen anything over Lvl 14-16 from the NM Dragon at all. 

Still need Bosun, Dancer's Axe and Rime

Yesterday I got two (in a row) Lyrium Staffs (26) from NM Dragon drops but other than that nothing over common level 16 stuff. Actually the drops on Perilous have been much better, lots of purples.

I wouldn't mind getting doubles of Descent stuff, but I just keep getting Lvl 16 grey stuff from the NM Dragons.

Last purple weapon I got, which I didn't have before, was Sulevin Blade.

Don't really need it (Reaver uses Stonebreaker and Katari/Avvar use Skywatcher's Cleaver), but nice to have.

Sometimes he's generous, but store chests much moreso. I couldn't tell you which items I got from NM dragon with about 75 kills, but no hakkon yet. I do know right after a NM dragon slaying me and Ophaus went right to the store and bought a few chests. He got a 27(don't remember which as I only care about myself lol) but I got a Dancer's Axe right after. not saying that to insult you, just saying that this game and the chest purchases tends to be very trendy. As for my own superstitions, I think its best to open 2 2k chests and see if you get at least 1 purple in each. If so, keep buying. If all greys and blues, save your money and try again at another time. Haha, make sure to rub your belly, pat your head, and chew bubblicious at the same time :-)

 

But, to add insult to injury, got Rime yesterday. However, people tell me its rather ineffective vs. Bitter Axe.

Ineffective or not, you still need it to get the Crescent (which makes Lego awesome fun with each projectile hitting for 39k)

I'd call it 'pocket pool' but people would get the wrong idea. Haha, most of the time played 9ball or Straight Pool, but I have played Snooker, One Pocket, Billiards(just rails, no pockets), Korean Billiards, and I even refereed the US Open Artistic Pool(Trick Shots) Championship in Boston one year. It almost feels like a past life, I don't really play anymore, and the characters in the Pool community tend to be douches.

I use Rime to finish the sword challenge since Hakkon Honor does not count toward sword kills.   But if someone calls the Frost Dragon while your lego is using Rime.. it is as effective as using the Saarebus curse on the Storm Dragon.

I used to play Snooker before I came to the US.   The table is so small and the balls are so big here.

I haven't seen any either.... About a 452 prestige now (have no idea how many matches that is but well over 100 promotions, more near 140-150 and, over 30 NM dragons and 2 HB dragons and no sign of the Hakkons.

 

Tho like I have said, I am fairly happy with what I have got as far as purples go.

There is hope, this weekend a Hakkon dropped from a NM dragon in a match that I was in (the very first time for me).   I didn't get it, but hey I was there!

It makes no sense they make it so hard so get certain items, it actively discourages people from playing the SP game as well. I have played the DAI over 30 times and have got one particular item just once and even at that I am one of a handful of people who have EVER got it. Why make something that rare? It's just stoopid and it's an insult to your paying customers.

Yeah, agreed.  At least in SP you have the golden nug... my first complete play through I scrounged all my money and ended up with all the schematics anyway.
