Is the running pace of Sheppard in ME 1 the max because my grandfather runs faster and he is 90.

First i hope my grandfather is not reading this because he is not really 90 he is 75 or 77 i'm not 100% sure i'm just saying that Sheppard is just running really slow.

I have just started the game yesterday after a long period of time and i can not recall him running so slow it's more like a jogging pace.

But really there is a threat that bombs are going of everywhere and he is well slowly running towards those bombs to deactivate them not in a hurry what so ever. But is there a sprint button because i think i have tried every button on my controller but with no result.

I'm on Xbox one btw.

Hold down the A button when in combat to sprint for a limited time

When Shepard runs, its a "Run all day" pace.

When Shepard sprints, ain't no 90 year old going to keep up.

But the "run all day" pace is just sooo slow.

You have not seen my grandfather sprint though he is pretty fast for an old guy :P.

Yeah, I also think that the slow running speed is because, when you spend your day running from place to place, you don't really want to sprint everywhere and all the time. That'd be exhausting. Jogging is manageable and therefore more realistic while still faster than walking. (I might also argue that some areas are easier to navigate at slower pace.)

Shepard actually sprints rather fast in ME1, in my opinion. I think ME2's sprint is the real embarrassment here. In ME2 Shep can only bother to sprint for like three seconds before they return to the regular running speed.

Well we are talking about a game here this is not real life so Bioware could make him run just a little faster your character will never get tired anyway pfeew if i had that kind of stamina in real life and never get tired that would be great.

And true some areas are easier at a slower pace.

edit. and really only three seconds ?

Of course. I can't argue with that. I'm just saying that it's more believable that way and that it might have been part of why they decided to make it so.

I can't say I'm awfully bothered by the regular running speed myself, either. If I do, it's because I visit a large area repeatedly. I wouldn't complain if the sprint button was more effective, especially outside of combat, in all the three games, though.

Same, I don't like the run speed in ME1. Temporary sprint didn't impress me either so I had to enable dev mode in game to run faster.

the sprint in ME1/ME2 is fine. The forever sprint in ME3 was overkill.

ME1 : Everything is insignificant unless you're sprinting through the respawning rachni dungeon of doom on Noveria.

ME2 : Sprint like you're a gorilla

ME3 : I'm running on clouds unless I'm holding a gun and that's when I run like a gorilla
