So I'm about to have a few matches with this kit , only I've no idea wha a good build would be. I need a solid one, something you'd bring on a solo gold or platinum. This is what I've come up with so far : http://kalence.drupa...!24N52314!GD5E5. Haven't tested it yet, does any one have a suggestion for this kit ?

I've seen your SmashDept, so I know you're good in close quarters.

Here's my build.

Venom for priming and stagger, bubble to detonate the fire explosion, then you can re-position/dodge and finish with Reave BEs. Mild cheese. It's a little too risky for a Plat Solo for me though.

Your build is a little more adaptable to distance, etc.

Why not Warp Ammo?  If you're worried about Guardians just take an ultra light SMG with a piercing barrel

That's mine... it is in no way the best, but it kind of works for me. :) Equipment is up to you though, use whatever you want. :P

Thanks, still trying to see some different builds, just saw TheTechnoTurian has a run with no points in pull, might try that. Wait  so we played together ? Like today ?

Justicar is the best! My favorite kit and reave is one of the best powers in the game.

Nah, it was a while ago. Rio/Plat/Geth lagfest. But I did get to see some proper Smash-cancelling.

I figured if you can do that, you can Asari-dance your way around boss enemies better than I can with my build.

Well, to be fair, you don't really need a passive with the build... Your power cooldown is very good, and you can always equip warp ammo or something like that for the CSMG to basically pick up where your powers left off to deal a decent amount of damage anyway. Between biotic sphere and reave, you also get a good amount of damage reduction.

So...

Benefits: Lots of explosions, lots of damage reduction, good cooldown speed, high health/shields.

Disadvantages: Probably won't do as much damage as another build.

Have a cookie, OP - your build is perfect, with the option to use different weapons or mods.  :)

The Justicar is one of my most-used, strongest characters, and that's the build I just take the Acolyte with, and Adrenaline usually, to help with dodging around. I will have a Tempest too, most likely, but it rarely gets used. Arc Pistol is a perfectly strong alternative, as is the Lancer. I use Cryo with the Acolyte, for the hilarity of Pull. Glorious Biotic Matriarch, fit for Plat ahead of many many characters.

Oh okay, he's one of those kits I have played so little yet I played it today so I assumed you must have played a game with me, what are the odds ?

See that's the thing, wanna try a solo platinum with this kit so I need a powerhouse build and then again I never play kits with no passives, I'd rather sacrifice fitness and deal more damage.

What do you think about TheTechnoTurian no pull build ? Sounds like a good or bad idea ?

Close Quarters? AJ-Reegar

Benefits: lots of Booms with Reave, Sphere, Reave. Plus, lulz reegar. (I prefer taking the extra DR on Reave just to help with survivability. Also, Pull is pretty lame, but specing at least 4 into provide primes for lots of mooks and a stagger for shielded targets).

Disadvantages: Open maps vs Geth or Cerb

Here is an Alt - if you are looking for more power damage based justicar. (this is very cookie cutter)

Well, we've been back and forth over this many times and there is no right answer. It's all about personal preference. I think TTT has previously offered opinions which acknowledge that too, and that it's all about what you're trying to achieve. In my case, I never solo and I don't use Pull on Drells (much), and I also don't use the Acolyte on any other character, because I hit a rhythm with your build that is nothing short of exquisite. Dunno if that will help you decide, but my philosophy is that a Justicar without Pull is having less fun than mine, particularly if otherwise pretty useless Cryo ammo can find a happy home.  :)

I put six ranks in Pull and use mooks as weapons against their teammates. As I understand it, I am one of the few who does so. I think it works great, but in general, I don't see much agreement.

Also Reave Plus Warp Ammo allows for all kinds of options, so it's hard to go wrong with her.

Actually you just Pull Guardian Shields away so that's not even an issue

My build is probably pretty close to yours except I use Warp Hurrdurricane and Reave 6b and play her like a ghetto Fury

I do that sometimes too, but I genuinely can't detect much difference in the size of the booms. My gameplay is pretty similar whether I have 4 or 6 ranks in Pull, but my choice of consumables may change. It is, as you say, hard to go wrong with her.

As long as you max Reave on the Justicar, you can't go wrong really.

I also run a pull-less build, seen here: http://kalence.drupa...!23251384!GD.AG

I like her this way because I have way too many cyclonic amps, so with her bit of DR and a cyc 3 or 4, depending on mood, I find her quite tanky.

As far as good enough to solo... I never tried. The few times I tried to solo I got bored quickly. Having other people around keeps me interested, even if they rarely if ever talk on voice or anything.

I think i used to use the harrier on the kit, but switched it out after the lancer was released.

Well thanks for your input everyone, had a plat game with the no pull build as I figured it would be easier to handle 2 powers to start. Im' glad I did because we got Glacier Hazard... the extra healt came in very handy, pull wasn't really needed here as I played with a Fury and a Krogan Shaman but I will probably give it a go in a while.

Your build is solid regarding both fun and efficiency. However, as Grunt, I prefer using the Acolyte on her, because if I don't I find that the points I put on Pull are partly wasted. The quick combo Acolyte shot + Pull + Reave for BE is very effective on gold and still useful on platinum. Besides, Reave being a good damage dealer, it can be worth it to put a power magnifier on the gun. I would also switch to Warp ammo, as the Justiciar is an excellent area primer with both Biotic Sphere and Reave.

I think that TTT's no Pull build has a specific goal : speedrunning platinum. It's effective, but less fun IMO.

This is what I'd go with for a solo setting. May go with cyclonic and/or warp ammo depending on the map and enemy faction.

Ever since I tried this build w/acolyte, there was no turning back.

I use TTT venom build, good on any difficulty. Assaut rifles work great on her too.

I never understood the deal with those who put incendiary ammo on her : you don't get more booms as the only way to detonate the ammo is with the sphere (and you would get a more powerfull explosion by detonating reave with the spehere) and for pure ammo damage it is extremely inferior to warp rounds on her.

So, what's the deal ? I see that often so it must make some sense  :)

The best reason is that is feels more fun.

A venom shot to a biotic sphere is quicker than utilizing reave alone. However, you can also use reave at a spawn, run in and prime targets with incendiary for multiple types of explosions. On gold, the incendiary explosions are enough to kill most mooks outright.

I'm not certain if there is a small amount of DOT cheese available to this set up too. Does warp effect from the bubble have the same double tick? I'm thinking no.
