The Justicar is one of my top classes, and this is my favorite build.  The basic strategy is to keep as many Reave stacks going as you can, and the DOT you get is massive.  Phantoms become almost a joke with this build  I like the Paladin better than the Arc Pistol for this build, but the Arc Pistol would maybe (probably?) work better.  Keep the bubble out in choke points, or use it to detonate biotic explosions when possible.  Use Pull/Reave combos when possible too.

 

Now I know everyone is going to say "No piercing?"  And that's a legitimate criticism - but you don't need it.  With the Paladin, not having any piercing equipment will not really hurt your armor DPS, especially if you're priming with Reave or Bubble first.  It occasionally is annoying that you can't shoot enemies behind cover.  So I guess put on the piercing mod or use AP/Drill ammo if you can't live without piercing.

I put six ranks in Pull and use mooks as weapons against their teammates. As I understand it, I am one of the few who does so. I think it works great, but in general, I don't see much agreement.

 

Also Reave Plus Warp Ammo allows for all kinds of options, so it's hard to go wrong with her.

 

I usually do 6/6/4/6/4, but I have tried 6/6/6/5/3, and it's just as good.  If you're doing an Acolyte-centered build, I think you probably want to max Pull.

No real surprise that we're in agreement on this, and weapon choice aside, that is the same build linked in the OP, and the one I use too - I commented earlier that it's great because it allows for several different weapon options. Slasher and Jere's 66653 seems indistinguishable to me - we really are splitting hairs over minuscule in-game differences. I know the explosions are theoretically bigger, but I don't think it makes any real difference. I assume that even with an Acolyte, the tiny extra 10% weapon damage makes up for a slightly smaller explosion. Or something. I dunno. She's great, that's all.

Close Quarters? AJ-Reegar

 

Benefits: lots of Booms with Reave, Sphere, Reave. Plus, lulz reegar. (I prefer taking the extra DR on Reave just to help with survivability. Also, Pull is pretty lame, but specing at least 4 into provide primes for lots of mooks and a stagger for shielded targets).

 

Disadvantages: Open maps vs Geth or Cerb

 

Here is an Alt - if you are looking for more power damage based justicar. (this is very cookie cutter)

 That reegar build sounds fun, the alt also but I'm certainly not gonna try that on a solo plat, don't have that much of a death wish.

Yeah I've got my eyes on that build, I'd definitely pick the Arc Pistol for a solo plat but I like the idea of trying the paladin on a full party, love that gun. About the piercing part, I think I will get used to it, it's just you know, habits die hard, especially with the geth scanner. Just did a match with Arc Pistol /Warp Ammo and I kept shooting ennemies behiNd cover or through walls as a reflex. The game was really fun and I was able to wreak havoc enven with little to no experience with the kit.

Now I want to have a full Justicar game on a tiny map like Glacier, that would be glorious !

So I'm about to have a few matches with this kit , only I've no idea wha a good build would be. I need a solid one, something you'd bring on a solo gold or platinum. You almost had it correct. Here's the right build.   I jest, but you don't need weapon passives, Arc Pistol is amazing on anyone, and if I didn't feel I overuse it already I would use it on her. It might get my vote as the best weapon in the game. I personally use CSMG with extended mag and extended barrel. No need for piercing since pull takes care of guardians. It also synergizes a little better with reave->shoot instead of reave->charge shot->then shoot. But that's me being petty. She's good fun. Here's how I play her if you want to sit through a 30 minute Reaper solo

Specifically for a platinum solo, if that's your intent, skipping pull is generally the most efficient option. In a solo pull is almost completely inefficient without the acolyte vs. cerberus and geth platinum; against reapers/collectors platinum I guess it might gain some more use as crowd control in the waves with more abombs or husks, but I find it to be less efficient than just stacking reaves. 

 

disclaimer: in my opinion, anyway. This is just based on my experience with soloing with this kit and experimenting to find the most efficient build for speed-running each of the factions. YMMV. 

 

For pugging, team games, and actual fun, particularly on gold, 6/6/6 in bubble/reave/pull and whatever you want for fitness/passives since neither really make that much of a difference. I go 5/3 and put the falcon on her because why not and use warp rounds.

IMO theres two primary ways to go. One is spec into Pull with reduced fitness and skipping rank 6 of passive. The other is to skip Pull and go for full fitness and additional weapon damage. Regardless, you will definitely want to have a warp bubble.

Using the acolite+smg combo lets me use pull often, and that's fun. Adrenaline 3 so you can run in and deploy sphere.

Sabre works great.  Arc pistol is fine (on anything ;-), as you suggested in your build, but i've been trying to use it less lately. Venom is fun too, but cooldowns suffer.

Works great on gold/plat.. have not used it on a solo though.

This is what I'd go with for a solo setting. May go with cyclonic and/or warp ammo depending on the map and enemy faction.

Pulless AJ and nothing can go wrong on Gold and higher. In fact I specced pull to try again, taking away from the fitness. I mostly forget to use it, lol.

I use Adrenaline mostly and go around to drop a bubble over enemy clusters. Or bosses on Plat. Enemies melt with a good team. If there's another debuffer Plat is ridiculous, even without GI and all the worn out meta.

 

AJ is "simply the best". She likes to use Disciple.

for me, as other pointed out, as long as you BoomBoom with maxxed reave and sphere, u cant go wrong.

At one point i really felt better with adremodule than with cyclonic, but on a plat solo, i wld still pick cyclonic now.

 

Passive arent a big deal, neither is fitness.

FEw month ago i decided to try and make the acolyte pull build work on plat, and, no, it s to dedious (for me) to get a pull BB from a unshielded mook near a boss. I m far better dishing real damage with my gun and sphere BB in all situations. That said, i still keep 3 points in pull most of the time for fun

I really like the wraith on her, or anyway something which hits harder than the CSMG. Not sure why CSMG is used so much on her. I guess i forgot it on the shelve and dont remember that s a good one.

Also: My first Asari was the vanilla AA . The next was the Asari Vanguard, but I struggled with her until I found the B-52 setup I settled with. I use the Huntress when I feel lazy. Some think I'm overly obsessed with Asari , but that isn't true. In fact all the Asari have made repeated mating requests to the Krogan     .

Evil people have commented on this, stating they just did it to gain access to the Krogan shotgunnes, and this isn't true either.

Warp Ammo + Annihilation Field is just wrong. Wrong in the melted enemy sense. Warp Ammo + Annihilation Field + Reegar is gamebreaking.

On the acolyte justicar, warp ammo isn't that big a deal breaker. Armor damage is primarily due to powers and the gun already has a big barrier multiplier. It'll be more efficient with warp ammo but not as much as other guns. 

 

Cryo ammo is nice to slow big armored enemies inside the bubble. More importantly, pulling frozen enemies and watch them float in the air doing pirouettes in the air is amusing.

 

If I were to use disciple or wraith, I'd go with warp ammo. On a separate note, Falcon with phasic ammo is another set-up I use on the justicar.

Love the Justicar. I used to use the Lancer or Talon on her, and then used the Wraith for a while, but I found using the N7 Eagle to be the most fun for me.

 

I never understood the deal with those who put incendiary ammo on her : you don't get more booms as the only way to detonate the ammo is with the sphere (and you would get a more powerfull explosion by detonating reave with the spehere) and for pure ammo damage it is extremely inferior to warp rounds on her.

 

So, what's the deal ? I see that often so it must make some sense 

Can't speak for others, but I only use Incendiary Ammo on her when I'm low on Warp rounds..

That's because the Eagle is a good gun (for it's weight, which is virtually non-existent). Gun gets a lot of hate for no reason. It makes a great sidearm on most characters, or a main gun on extremely weight-sensitive characters, or even as a main gun on the tsol.
