If ME Andromeda followed on from ME 3...

Keeping Indoctrination theory and the DLC remake and utilising the new Ark idea. This idea is freely given and all notes are bullet points not script.

Sheperd wakes from previous endings (presented as dream state from indoctrination) aboard citadel within council chambers, hologram of reaper (Catalyst) floats in air, Crucible is attaching to the station but explodes damaging it.

Ark appears as combined fleet is in battle, intro to new characters (engineering crew), Edi transmits 'Last order' as Normandy retrieves team mates minus Sheperd.

Reaper notices indoctrinated Sheperd's lack of obedience, Sheperd repeats Harbingers first remarks about 'develop along the paths we desire' and comments the Crucible as a convenient sign of hope. Sheperd pulls out 2 devices, cutscene of Leviathans planning with Sheperd, one device masquerades an infected but prevents indoctrination, the other is a ball of quantum entanglement particles.

Both fit in with the Leviathan's use of long range communications and concealment.

Last order is Sheperds command to the fleet, suffering high casualties and with the invasion stalled, fleet is ordered to converge on the Ark, Ark is ordered to jump to Andromeda, Normandy fights and enters evacuation but is referenced as 'heavily damaged'.

Reaper hologram suffers virus effect, husks approaching Sheperd attack each other, nearby Reaper ships suffer fluttering lights and chaotic movement, Harbinger orders an evacuation from Earth.

Its an Elder tech cop out but effective, placing a significant military fleet within the Andromeda galaxy while rounding up current storyline. Sheperd is a PoW, Earth has a chance during the Reaper ground forces infighting without the ships to restore order, Normandy and team mates can take a back seat as advisors, campaign can start towards finding the 2nd Elder race so thier tech can aid the war. Ark can be a second Elder tech cop out acting as a more advanced jump point (pre-collapse Leviathan or currently sought Elder race) that allows ships with replica drives to hop to and from the Ark anywhere in the Andromeda galaxy. This also allows an ending story arc of using the Ark to rescue more civilians to populate the new colony by jumping back to the Milky way, resulting in the new Elder race sieging the colony while they're waiting for the Ark.

Yours thoughts and any input...

Sure, why not? I honestly don't want ME to pull a dragon age and have a new pc every story. I can understand playing a new pc if shep was completely coma bound due to -insert illness/injury that can only be cured with ME urn of space magic- or as mentioned a pow. I do not under any circumstance to have the triology be separate from andromeda, I want the world state in the trilogy to be brought up in andromeda and acknowledged. I'd be 100% okay with a scenario of shep waking up from a near successful reaper indoctrination and have some backup plan that we the players didn't know due to indoctrination and that be the ark. I'd even be okay with a scenario where the battle still continues in the milky way with shep leading the charge and well being space jesus in milky way while we in andromeda are space Jesus jr looking for the means to go super space jesusajin where we'll return to the milky way to win the war.

Hell I'd even be okay with shep still fighting the good fight against the reapers for us in andromeda to find what we were searching for and return to the milky way only to discover things got real real bad and stargazer is old shep.

My first thought is that people need to accept that IT is not a canon thing. BioWare took that idea out back and shot it. Repeatedly.

That said I want ME:A to move ahead and be its own thing. I don't want it to get bogged down trying to fix or apologize for the mistakes of the past

Reads sorta like a gimped Battlestar Galactica hybrid script to me. I wouldn't fool with anything Shepard or original trilogy in ME-A until and unless they are ready to make a major reveal in like the third game in the new ME-A story arc. I'd let the new adventure and new characters take hold and mature on their own. But it would be really neat if Clone Shepard from Citadel DLC somehow miraculously survived his epic battle with Shep. And found his way on the Ark to became a well disguised villain in the new series.

Hey now, if Miranda could bring my Shepard back after atmospheric entry sans spacecraft, she can certainly patch up his still-breathing self after a brush with some rubble on the Citadel. And then he can head home, to that lovely patch of land on Rannoch, and channel his guilt over having sacrificed the Geth and EDI to destroy the Reapers into building a f*cking fantastic house. (Okay, well, he's a Vanguard, so Tali'll be the one doing all the actual engineer stuff. He'll just, I dunno, biotic charge into large chunks of rock to make gravel for the driveway.)

If you remember the N7 video, Ryder's ship leaves Earth as it is still in good shape (no burning cities seen from orbit), which means they left before or way after the invasion of Earth, so that scenario cannot happen, unlessthe video is non-canon.

That scenario might still happen, but the video wasn't a a rapresentation of how they left the Milky Way, as far as we know. It was just meant to be a goodbye for for Shepard.

Yep me too. IT fits into the same battered ring binder, covered with frenzied incoherent scrawl and paranoid graffiti carved in to the cover with a penknife, that people keep their evidence of faked moon landings and flat earth theory.

I find it ironic that the tag line of IT is "Wake Up".
