On HB I use reverse combo - SP - HW that's thing make most mobs without might & bring solid damage! Then shield bash- amazing...all dead.
With 12 lvl Templar just killer all around...

I couldn't stand the stamina issues when using Wrath of Heaven, personally. Shield Wall is a little more clunky on Console than PC, I believe.

Equip her CS and Winter Breath with hi stats may run NM lvl 1 solo...but it pretty boring run alone...

Yeah, CS and Winter's Breath is great. Still, would rather play the lego for those first 15 levels.

I'd rather have Lunge and Slash+ Upgrade, Shield Bash, Counterstrike and Payback or Shield Wall at Level 12...

I am going to try Templar again and even take Cutting Words to help the team !

I hated Katari now I love it.

I wonder how I will feel about Templar now.... I'll post in this thread in a few days

Pros: 54000+ Wombo Combo. Shield Bash.

Cons: Everything else.

Didn't enjoy it that much

I did learn something. You do not need Master Stamina Amulet.

Spec SB WH SP and upgraded Challenge.

Yes challenge!

Make sure you have Flow of Battle passive also.

Use combo then use challenge. You will have full stamina before combo is ready again. You can use that **** over and over.

I find Templar excellent for solo.

I find Templar good for NM and HB in teams.

I find Templar crap for perilous games with ranged players in it.

Templar and Duelist isn't the team built in heaven? ;)

Agreed, Templar's really strong, especially on the higher/highest difficulty.

Give her CS, Wintersbreath (thanks Vlad), Shield Bash ring, HoK ring; spec Shield wall (animation cancelling), Shield Bash, Livid, and Spell Purge.

Go to town.

Oh! Damn.. never looked at that upgrade I don't think.  Will have to try that out.  Only about 20 more missions to run with the Templar before I wander away from her again though.  I wish I could get Livid and the combo, but you can pretty much only get that around level 19 or 20.

I'm not in love with the combo, but when you end up soloing with her, it is helpful.

Did I mention the 54000 damage AoE from combo was on Nightmare ...

I giggled a lot in horrible evil-type giggly way.

Willpower really seems to ramp up spirit damage.  On my AW decloaking blast is up to 15000 now.  Be nice if it upped basic attack as much.

Actually that reminded to ask something odd I saw.  All my damages were higher in Nightmare than in Perilous.   The numbers the float up... they are a lot higher in NM matches...no idea why.

Most enemies don't seem to have any resistance to spirit damage, which would explain that. Actually, the only enemies I remember having any real spirit resistance are the Qunari assassins, unless I'm forgetting something else. Been a while since I last maged.

Tried the challenge upgrade this AM. It's as advertised, however it doesn't produce support xp. Bummer.

Regardless, it allows for combo spamming which is a fun, for a bit.

Challenge, clever! Too many times did I hit wrath then not have the stamina to combo.

Willpower is gonna increase ability damage way more than auto attacks. U probably notice spirit damage the most because there aren't many(any?) resistant mobs, just immune.

800% Fadecloak means big boost.

My combo only does 10K damage. :pinched:   But then I only have 90 willpower....so the damage is like 100x your willpower.. :P   And too many things immune to stun!   BTW, I think it is actually easier to use Challenge first and then the combo.   That way you don't have to wait for the slower stamina regen right after the combo to use Challenge.

I've found with late level templar that you can get a free Livid use if used directly after the spell purge in the combo.

Wait for full stamina, use combo and then hit livid as a 3rd part to it, and if you're quick enough you usually get full guard (still hits the corpses as they go down), but theres no stamina cost (you wont have much anyway) plus no cool down on livid. Use it again when needed.

Probably more of use for newer players, or on nightmare if your guard isn't staying up. Probably lvl 16 or more by the time you get there, so not entirely useful.

Edited: I suppose the damage increase helps, although haven't checked if that definitely works with that.
