It hopes the potential presence of the Hanar in Andromeda will mean that the long standing 'joke race' status for it's people will finally be done away with forever. This one would love to see a more nuanced, serious take on the Hanar, as well as thought out, three dimensional characters.
It feels the need to point to facets of Hanar lore that were not properly explored in the previous trilogy; elements like the Hanar's dualistic nature, their extreme politeness even in the face of mortal enemies. This one also would like to point out to the fact that Hanar are quite capable in combat and train the Drell as their assassins and bodyguards. Don't mistake it's species for being weak or frail for having such safeguards in place.
This one finds amusement in the galaxy's labeling of the Hanar as "big stupid jellyfish", for assuming that the Hanar are no threat. It's brethren have been know to nearly kill galaxy renowned mercenaries with it's bare tentacles, and one should not forget this one's natural toxins quite capable of paralyzing much larger foes. The galaxy may laugh at this one, and may use it's own people for cheap entertainment; using mock weapons not even designed around it's physiology; but while they are watching the Krogan, or Drell for danger, the Hanar can advance, unnoticed in plain sight.
