Has this been done before?

Just a quick question for my mod and i am not sure it has been done before but is there something like a profession system out there?
Where a player would be able to do an actual job (exanple: carpenter, floor cleaner, bartender, hairdresser, cop, etc) where the player would need to collect something, or work on something for some money and experience?
Been wondering if there was a system like that around. Would be nice to have it to have something for the players to do when not out hunting or simply don't want to "hunt" and give the character more depth in a way.

There are some system to create items by jobs (weapons, armors ...) basically you would only need to modify it to give XP and gold on success. Some of them might even give you XP already (CNR if I'm not mistaken).

CNR allows the adding of user defined crafts. You should be able to create a "profession" by adding to the appropriate scripts as well as setting up the appropriate tools for the profession. It would require a little planning, but doable.

probably but not entirely sure it is exactly what I am looking for, as I said I am not looking for a crafting jobs, already have CNR for this. Basically what I am looking for are things that would require a character to actually do, like one would in a real world job.
My mod is a sorta present day kinda setting so was figuring if something similar could be done. Already have "gathering jobs" that is integrated with the CNR system.
Was more thinking along the lines of:
Example:
Hairdresser: You get hired in a hair saloon and you get a customer (randomized) who will tell you that he/she/it wants his/her/its hair done a certain way so you will need to click in the right order in order to complete the task the customer told you, the things you'll have to do will be randomized.
Its just something I thought might be entertaining for some people.

This can be done in CNR. You just described a craft profession. Perform a specified job (creat something...a hairdoo, nails), use a recipe for the desired effect. use the proper tools in the proper order, if successful at each step, or upon completion, receive reward, ie, money, xp, etc... ![]()
