So I was always so stressed out by the human reaper battle especially now when I'm doing my first insanity run... And I gotta ask is there a time limit for the reaper fight because... He is seen destroying the platforms one by one, Will he evantually destroy ur platform and CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE?

I have gotten a critical mission failure screen, but that was from the bugs firing at me and not the platforms that were being destroyed. Just keep firing a its weak spots to get the cutscene. There is no time limit that I'm aware of and it will not destroy the platform Shepard is on while he/she is shooting at the thing.

I read in another post (perhaps in the "little things you just discovered" thread) that the human reaper only destroys two platforms, the ones to the left and right of the one Shepard starts on.
I generally go up onto the platform to Shepard's right at the start of the battle because it has a height advantage. Quite often that platform will be destroyed before I can end the battle. In that case, I end up on the platform directly in front of it while my team is scattered about the rest of the platforms. I have never had the battle last long enough for another platform to be destroyed.

yeah I've never had a critical mission failuer from it yet other than when I've been wiped out by the enemies that aer on the platforms and such but usually I've killed the reapre by the time it becomes a serious threat to me. Playing ME2 again right now but I'm not on the final mission yet.
