So I finally got my characters synced with Dragon Age Keep by downloading DA:O and DA2 again, re-installing the games, forcing a sync, then manually filling out the tapestry exactly according to my choices in DA:O and DA2. Cost me a lot of time and effort since I had to use Dragon Age Wiki to catch up on all the quests, characters etc. and then load my old saves to verify which choices I made, etc.

 

Long story short, it was one hell of a hassle. Now that everything is set up in Dragon Age Keep, can I safely uninstall DA:O and DA2 again without worrying that my characters are removed from the keep? I would stay on the safe side and keep them, but both games combined take ~40GB on my 250GB HDD, so yeah... a bit much for something I don't plan on playing anytime soon.

You can safely uninstall both DAO and DA2. Information you got in the Keep will stay there as long as you don't delete them manually in the Keep itself.
