I've defeated the Snowbear clan's champion twice now, but it doesn't let me finish the quest after I've defeated all of them. My group is stuck in the arena with no way out. What gives?

Might be a bug/glitch. Try loading an earlier save if you have one

How many waves of warriors do you have to fight? I thought it was only three. After fooling around at the arena entrance/exit, the whole sequence seems to have started again. But I don't have any more potions! Arghh!!!

I think there are more than 3, including a wave of nugs. You may have to just wait a little longer. At least, hopefully!

Four waves if I recall, been a while since I did JoH, but will be in there again next week on my new mage.

The second time you enter the arena, there are ten waves, including a bunch of nugs.

Hakkon's Trials quest ends after first arena visit, which has 3 waves. Second arena visit (the one with nugs) is not quest related. It gives you Hakkon's Valor upon completion.

I thought it was incredibly cool that, anticipating that some players might want more arena waves, made it so you can go back for more. Too bad it stops after only 2 visits, though.

Right, I didn't even know that you could return. Must do it this time around, plus find the place you unlock with shards, which I've somehow missed completely.

Ah, this is interesting. I thought you could go back as many times as you wanted, but I never actually tried to do more than two rounds because that has always been enough for me.
