Hey, me too ! 

 

Yesterday I played my Harrier TGI with assault rifle amp 3, AP rounds 4 and Grenade capacity 5 ('cause enemies always try to destroy my shields) in a bronze PUG game. I bumped into a lobby with a volus merc (that we all know is an OP character) using an Avenger 8 (already deadly on full auto at this level), a level 2 geth engineer with a GPR 5 (so he was benefiting from the racial bonus) and a batarian sentinel with the Vindicator (at level 10, damn guys with their maxed manifest). Guess what ? Bam ! I outscored all of them, finishing ahead of the volus merc by almost 10k !

 

Then I switch to my Reegar AIU with incendiary rounds 4, shotgun amp 3 and I keep my grenade capacity. I was less confident this time because the lobby was very strong with an asari vanguard using a Disciple 4 (so she could stagger all enemies) and a geth infiltrator (a character who can see through walls !) with a Shuriken 9 (so almost at its full potential). But again my skills made the difference and I outscored the GI by more than 3k.     

 

So I thought I was in a good day and thus decided to exceptionally play a third game (usually I play one less, because after 2 games I'm exhausted) with my Venom Talon merc. I preset a bronze lobby to Giant / Reapers in order to not get a too hard game. After an hour of waiting, only a volus adept with a Predator drops into my lobby. We both feel adventurous (and admittedly it was almost 9 PM, so the hour my dad want me to go to bed) and so we decide to do a duo. The game is very challenging, the scores stay very close all game long (I always check it 3/4 times a wave). The volus is damn good with his Predator, he got the 5 headshots medal before the end of wave 10 ! As for me, tired and sleepy, I'm not at my best, sometimes when I spam the mines at the spawns I miss and so they land outside the map. Thankfully I manage to keep 5 missiles for wave 11 so I get several killstreaks, while the volus bleed out 30s before extraction (this idiot used all his gels while disabling the 4 devices wave 10, lol). I finally outscore him by more than 100 points. I feel a little bad about this game because the difference isn't much, but the guy was using explosive rounds 3, what is basically considered cheating. 

 

 

My conclusion : I'm the best at this game ! 

There were actually guys that play like that in bronze when i went there regulary months ago.(now i start at sliver when leveling)

It is laughable the overpoweredness of a lot of people playing Bronze (atleast on PS3). And the Silver PUGs are pretty horrible on PS3 as well, so my promotions result in soloing to level them up again, I find it works pretty well for me.

I agree. Now I come to think of it, my games are usually full of tryhards.

Done. Many times. Idk... I think some things in ME3 MP are overrated. Don't like the Juggernaut and it deserves much hate. Harrier is overrated/overused, and it's an awful weapon. Shadow strike is okay, I like the Shadow generally but don't use it for platinum. 

Any OP or generally common builds for platinum I just don't use. To be fair, I do that generally. Never done anything which most players have here XD

I still maintain that the QFI+Lancer is the best setup in the game. It's not OP, it's rare (never seen another in my many years of sercice), and it totally works on every difficulty (even if you do feel a little bit very strong playing bronze and silver). It needs more love.

You think I can't trivialize Platinum too? Main difference being that Platinum pugs are much to harder to keep alive, resulting in more waves soloed then playing as a team. The challenge in Gold is to keep Gold pugs alive with less then optimum setups. Pugs need to feel special too, and because nobody wants to play with this tryhard;

Shadow Strike isn't a top scoring kit. It's too slow. I achieve more then one kill with something like a well aimed Harrier in the time it takes you to kill one enemy with Shadow Strike.

Don't forget to equip the best of the best banner for maximum 1337-ness. Those pugs should be in awe and know they're in the presence of a legend! Bonus points if you call people "peasants" over the mic.

Exactly! And if you don't top the scoreboard all pugs will know that it's due to you are having problems with "lag", even if you are the host.
