Ninja boy wow or did he cheated this to because it doesn't look that way to me.

But what kind of cheats did you use in those early days ?
Yes keep telling yourself that
.
Pfffttt....it does! I'm in Orzammar now and getting armour with better stats, but I'm so vain that I'm making Leliana and Zevran wear the modded gear instead cause it looks much better. ![]()
In DAO, I abused the trap quest in Lothering, but I never went to extreme lengths with it. I've used console commands in both DAO and DA2 to get certain pieces of gear so I would have a matching set, but hardly overpowered.
That reminds me of the pyjak exploit in ME1, I did it recently to max out my paragon points and felt so damn guilty I reloaded to a previous save. Just couldn't do it. ![]()
Having read what others are saying it reminds me that there is one thing I happily cheat at every playthrough, and that is the approval points for companions in DA2. I change them on the console so I can get exactly what I want. That could be having Isabela being neutral so she doesn't come back with the book, maxing Varric to 100% rivalry cause it was ruining my RP to do it the conventional ways, or with Anders.
He's a great example actually. One of my Hawkes was pro-Mage the whole game, and a mage herself, but then reluctantly sided with the Templars in the end as she hoped it would restore peace. Being pro-mage most of the game gave me good approval with Anders, but you need 100% rivalry to be able to spare his life (if you side with the Templars). They were close, she loved him even though she left him, and I believed out of all my Hawkes she'd be the one to convince him to fix what he started. So I went to the console and cheated it. No regrets.
I occasionally don't agree with how rivalry and friendship points are allocated in DA2 and what they represent, so being able to change it is justifiable in my mind. ![]()

Oh, I'll do stuff like that sometimes. Like one ME run when I outfitted everyone in the Sirta Foundation Phoenix armor you can get during the Cerberus missions. White and pink for everyone! Though obviously "looks much better" is admittedly subjective. ![]()

So did you ever cheat your way through one of the Bioware games or did you use a cheat like godmode or something else a less game breaking cheat.I myself did cheat and i still cheat my way through some games not with godmode kind of cheats but more of the less game breaking cheats.I wish you could cheat a little on the consoles as well and not only on PC.So thoughts on this topic ? ( honest answers are appreciated )
No. The easy/casual mode is plenty enough for me to go somewhere alone, or with only one partner for example. What should cheat?
Perhaps worth it for the approval of companions ... but I did not do it.
Well after you complete the game and create a second protagonist you aquire meta-knowledge which is in itself a cheat.
I don't see that as a cheat
I don't see that as a cheat
Although to some degree meets the definition cheating...
(But I used to use this "cheat" sometimes.)
In Mass Effect 1 i used to get the thresher maws to really low health, turn on the hardest difficulty, step out of the mako and finish them with sniping. I read somewhere it earned more exp, and, exploring everything and doing this, i always ended up having Shepard at level 58 at the end of the game (kinda frustrating, just two levels away from the cap
)
Also, back on the 360, i used the darkspawn blood exploit to get to level 20 at Ostagar. First time i did that i did it ouf of curiosity, next few times it was just routine ![]()
On the PC i just gave my mage some points into cunning, to have some extra dialogue that kind of fitted the character
I don't see that as a cheat
In Dragon Age no aside from using the strategy guide to help with the Astrariums and temple of Mythal Puzzles in DAI as I find some of those awkward to negotiate. In ME2 I do use an easy kills cheat to get past the geth cannon on the Ovrelord DLC. For ME1 and 3 I don't cheat at all.
But I only really cheat in these sections though the rest of the time I play the games as intended.
I once abused the fade attribute fountain exploit in DA:O to speed up a playthrough. Having 200 strength and constitution, and over 100 dexterity and cunning, made it a bit dull to say the least.
Yes.
Gold and item dupe glitches for Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age ][.
Do Origins gifts technically count as cheating companions' approval? I use Skip the Fade and extra Dog slot for Origins. If I ever play Origins again I hope to find a mod that will let me open locked chests as a Warrior/Mage.
For DA2, KillAll mod item to kill the street gangs at night because it's such a miserable bore, larger backpack, increased value in selling junk items, stronger Dog, and on my first few playthroughs I quickly glossed over the Wiki for quests to decide who to bring along with me for Friendship/Rivalry points. I also used the Wiki to cheat on the attribute barrels in the Fade and I used the Hawke's Key exploit to get all the enchantments.
I memorized approval gains on the Wiki for Inquisition. I've never had a disapproval scene with anyone. Does the Golden Nug count? I breezed through Nightmare + Trials with it, it kinda felt like cheating.
Gifts are a built-in game mechanic, so no, I don't think they count. For chests, you'll want lock bash.
I'll remember that, thank you. ![]()
I know there are companion specific gifts that trigger cutscenes, those I don't mind using, but I mean the FeastDay DLC cakes and stuff like that. I never had to worry about approval so long as there were 99+ cakes in Bodahn's store.
At first I tried to go vanilla on my first try of DAI but the goddamn game was such a fvcking tedious grinding chore that I just cheated. Complete war table missions immediately. Increased the number of Influence and Power to buy all perks from completing a single war table mission and unlock all locations and missions at once. Infinite Gold. Crafting Supply where I can simply buy all best crafting materials. Buy all schematics. Increased inventory capacity. 99 healing potions. Spam Ability with no cooldown. Infinite stamina/mana. Infinite Guard and Barrier. Infinite Focus. Infinite Resurgence Spell. Instant Level 27. Fvck the health-bloated damage-sponging enemies. Fvck the shite AI. Fvck everything vanilla DAI.

Hmm, what mods do I use...
DAO: A Bugfix for Awakening, so my Warden can keep his/her armor from the other DLCs. It seems this mod was deleted from Nexus, the link from the DA wikia now just sends you to the main page. :/
DA2: None (yet)
DAI:
Ardent Blossom (the Multicolor one)
Curly ponytail with lose front
So far I only used mods for apperance changes, I get enough gold by farming Sha-Brytol.
Also thanks to the Golden Nug I own nearly all high tier armors/weapon schematics. (I think I'm only missing the Superior Venatori Helmet for a complete high tier armor schematics list)
Well, if mods = cheats, color me guilty.
But as others have stated, never on a first run and maybe not even after 2 or 3. But eventually I get to the point where I just want to enjoy the game and not worry about all the gimmicky limitations and so mods it is. ![]()
In DAO/DAA: Skip the Fade, lock bash, extra dog slot are all required for me now.
DA2: lock bash (or whatever it's called, but the mechanic is weird so I usually forget to even use it
). Check the wiki for who gets what approval when (especially Carver since he's such a picky arse).
DAI: Expanded inventory, restore amulets of power, 1 halla per door, farm loot chests and rift goo (when I remember to do so). Next game I plan to use the Crestwood store modified to sell requisition items. Also, change time on my pc to move along war table missions if I'm in a hurry.
